There was also this.....out of all the tens of thousands of cars you could do this to it had to be a 3rd gen Camaro....Ugh! They painted it with chalkboard paint and had a bunch of chalk and let anyone go to town.
Today at the Cars and Coffee WPB, FL. There were 5 3rd gens there including me.
It is hard to see but there are all but the 1st gen camaro in that line.
That looks like a good turnout, it looks like a small car show! I've never been to one that was that good. How many cars usually make it to them in your area?

Today it was off the chain. there probably was 700+! I did not have enough time to see all the cars. It usually gets 300-500 but i have heard some days in season it gets 1k. They moved it from Boynton Beach a few years back because it out grew it's 450 parking spots.

Below is a link to a photographers site that took photos of the show. Make sure you check out the last page photo 304!!
Went to the PYPES Exhaust Musclecar and Truck Show (Performance Years) yesterday in Hatfield, PA and despite the rain they had a great turnout and some spectacular cars. I brought my 91 1LE Formula - it's first show and it stood tall among the other cars.
Your car looks great!!! And that is a decent amount of cars you can see in the vid, considering it's raining quite as much as it is. Nice Bandit car there too.

First show for me with the camaro. Every Wednesday night in town they do what's called "classics in the park". Last night's event was about 200 cars strong.
About 10 third gens came out to the show. A TA with a built 383 on nitrous as well. I got some nice pictures
Annoys me to no end when someone buys a new vehicle (usually truck or SUV like above) adds a bunch of stick on or screw on trim (usually chrome like above) and starts entering it in car shows.

yeah like when me and my best friend went to car shows in 86 with my 86 blacked out TA that had the tape above the areo affects removed (looked like the GTA that copied my look the next year) and never entered the show but parked with the cars to show it off. hated that. all those comments and memories it provided.... I didnt deserve to hang with the 60s era muscle cars. and I bet their owners thought the same... Not saying a truck deserves it though. that is wrong. but you did say a new car vehicle
God, I miss that 86 more than the 88

Entering a stock or stock-ish sports car in a car show is not what I was talking about. You know what I was referring too but I'll explain again. I'm talking about the people that buy newer vehicles (I've seen PT Cruisers, new trucks/SUVs, Impalas, Caprice, etc.,) They stick on a bunch of plastic chrome crap, rain guards, mud flaps, stickers/decals and window tint. Call me stuck up or whatever but if in a car show my Camaro ended up next to one of those vehicles who just spent $300 in the accessory aisles of AutoZone and Walmart I would move mine. I'll drive through the High school parking lot if that ever interests me.
Annoys Me Even More When Car Shows Are Flooded With Brand New Cars (Mustang's,Camaro's,Corvette's,Challenger's) Are The Biggest Culprits,That's Why A Lot Of Shows Are Model Year Restricted.

My case was exactly the same. I didnt enter the competition but had a NEW car. brand freakin new and I had a pair of 80$ chrome tips on it and took off some stock stickers as you can see. I had no right to park next to a classic. mine was months old. keep in mind that when I had it very few had seen an 86 in my city as I ordered an 85 and got an 86 when it was delivered and the areo tail made an impact on the cars looks substantially. Mine was also in the HS parking lot as well back then. I was an only child who's father worked for GM and was making in the 6 digits back then. I was young and thought it would be cool to park next to the big boys. when I had the a few years back GTA I would be annoyed of the brand new vette parked next to me but I deal with it. Having my new one at shows was a kick for me and it did get looks just like the vette next to me did. but yeah trash cars with a few add-ons are junk.
I won best in class 1985-newer class last fall at a show and this woman in a new hellcat was mad as hell "my junk had won". I told her anyone with $ could buy a car but it won't get the respect of a well preserved classic or restoration that someone puts their hard work into. She just could not understand. She was very hateful. I am very proud of my car that me, my son, and my father have put together.

I've met guys who will, before the larger car shows of 100+ cars, rent a vehicle from rent a car and spend the entire morning detailing it and then enter it in the car show. One of the guys had even won at least one car show doing that. They will rent a Charger, H2 or some other car that they think the judges will let in the show under the "stock" category. Seems like the biggest waste of personal time and money and it's disrespectful to the guys that actually own and maintain vehicles for a stock class.
