My new 1992 B4C 1LE
Bought this the other week off craigslist, its a former members car on here , but I guess he sold it and it wound up at an auction where the guy I bought it from picked it up to flip. 305, 5 speed wining 10 bolt with 3.42s and a thorson diff. I went to houston and picked up a 9 bolt for it , only to find my 10 bolt brakes wouldn't work I then went to the junk yard and found a 98 10 bolt 3.42 auto V6 car and turned around and the 98 next to it with a v6 had a set of founders tubular lowers and panhard road and a complete set of power slot rotors and pad that where almost brand new so i grabbed that and got the whole assy for 150 bucks. inside has a auburn in very nice shape but I will probably sell that , I just need the brakes and the ring and pinion for my original 10 bolt, I want to run a set of MB old schools 17x9.5 with 275/40r17s so i cant use the whole rear out of the 98. but I did find the guy on here that makes the brackets to use my original PBRs on the 9 bolt so Ill be stuffing that under the car to get me by till i rebuild my original rear.

Re: My new 1992 B4C 1LE
Ordered some TDS subframe connectors and a wonderbar for it, had a bad day yesterday though, this is one for the twilightzone, I found a nice set of original 16 inch rims on CL down in houston, called the guy he could barely speak english, but he said he still had the rims, so I drove all the way down from temple to houston yesterday only to get to the guys house only to find out this guy wasnt the guy with the ad, and the wheels he had for sale where BMW wheels..LMFAO, what are the odds, but I chalked it up to a nice road trip. Ordered a bluetooth datalogger setup from 1320 electronics, should be here today so Ill let you guys know how that goes. also ordered a set of 19lb injectors to replace the frigging 22lb ones this guy put on and didnt tune for.

Thanks, went today and picked up a LT1 from a 1995 camaro for 300 bucks and this past weekend I pulled the intake down and replaced the 22lb injectors with some 19 lbs ones and replaced the EGR and repainted the runners the correct color.

Re: My new 1992 B4C 1LE
well I know Ive been slacking abit, I decided I wasnted my gf out of her pos altima she was paying 570 a month for and i got to looking around for something for her and low and behold I ran across a 2000 tahoe limited on facebook marketplace, said to have "Bad head gaskets" so I asked a few question and decided I wanted to roll the dice, so saturday we rented a uhaul trailer and drove down to conroe to check it out ,
halfway there the lady texted me and asked me to call her, so I did and she proceeds to tell me the ac compressor is locked up, and I couldnt drive it back, but I told her I had a trailer and was on my way, i got there and they told me they had installed a new battery and had it running, just no belt, fired it up and it ran smooth as silk, i figured it had leaking intake gaskes since that is something vortecs are known for, so i talked her down to $1100 from $1350 and drove it on the trailer.
got it home. went to the junk the next day and found a brand new AC delco ac compressor on a truck that had been wrecked, and 2 of the 4 bolts where already removed so i pulled it off and grabbed a tensioner off the ground and 55 bucks later I was at home with a new belt and had it running and driving. Cleaned it up and started cleaning the interior.
found 4 bucks in the center console..lol
turned out this truck has 199k on it and has the original plugs and plug wires, I swapped out the plugs for some NGK v powers, now it runs even better. they even tossed in a brand new radiator..lol still had styrofoam stuck to it. so I dont figure it was a bad deal.
Did some polishing on it, the paint is fair but it polished up to a good 5 footer.
before
after
now that that is ready for her I can get back to the camaro.

Yeah, everything I've posted across the net for a decade or more is now wiped out. Very disappointing. I'd be happy to pay a reasonable price for the service, but the jump from free to $399.00 is insane.
I've complete the lengthy task of downloading all of my photos from the bucket. Now I just have to find them a new home.

While there's no right or wrong answer...it's your car, and you do what you'd like with it...I like this idea.

Cool stuff so far, but I don't know what the hell is going on hahaha.
Went from a 92 B4C->Rear end stuff->LT1 engine->Tahoe->built vortec->Vortec engine going into Roadmaster?
BTW I grew up out there in the Temple area, got family in Cyclone.

Re: My new 1992 B4C 1LE
well after driving the wagon to a car show down in austin and not having nearly the HP i want or think a 350 should have , I hatched a plan to take the Lb9 from my camaro and slap it in the wagon and thus get started on my camaro engine swap so out she came..
Whoops where did it go?
this is the kinda clean you get running a few gallon of E-85...not bad for 199k

If you still need a 10 bolt, I'll trade you mine fully complete and working awesome for your 10 bolt housing.
I am having an 8.8 built and need to cut it up and I feel bad cutting up a good rear. You would just have to pick it up in Lubbock, Tx.
