Re: heritage 1le
There are a few posts that I have found on it over the years, here is what I have read.
There were 116 Z28 1LEs in 92 since the remainder of the 1LE cars were B4C RS.
The B4C + 1LE RS cars could not be ordered with the heritage Z03 package, so at most it would be 1 of 116 cars. There are plenty of documented 92 Z28 1LEs that do not have the Z03 package, so the number is surely less than that.
Some people claim there are less than 10 known to exist in all Z03 color combos (white with red stripes, purple haze with silver, green with gold, black with red, and red with black). I think someone ran a compnine report and it came up with upwards of 30, but there are some people out there who think their data is not completely accurate. I have never used it and do not have experience with it's level of accuracy. Does anyone have access to their reports that could give it a shot?
I just bought one from a forum member so I have been trying to track down the same data. There are a few members here who have them.
This might be a good thread to make a registry for them.
Here are the ones that I know about:
This car is in the GM Heritage collection in MI - L98 auto car, 4k miles:
http://www.emporiagazette.com/news/a...8f2cde384.html
This one is owned by a forum member (I liked it so much I just bought it! ) - L98 auto car, 5k miles:
This one is owned by a Forum Member - L98 auto car, could be the only purple one made
This one is owned by a forum member - LB9 5-speed, 998 miles, currently for sale

This one is owned by a forum member - LB9 5-speed, 185,000 miles, currently for sale

If anyone else knows of any, please post the info here! PS if anyone who owns the cars above wants me to pull the pictures down that I posted for any reason, just let me know and i'll be happy to do so. Thanks!

Re: heritage 1le
GM did not keep track of options on top of options. Compnine is able to provide some figures because they have a script, along with having access to RPO codes for VINs, to provide some data. As said above, their records are incomplete because they don't have every VIN. They show atleast 32 Z03 with 1LE 1992 Camaros in their database.

Edit, just spoke with the owner. It is one of 116, but it is not a Z03, no stripes, black on gray leather.

Is that hood popped, or is that the fitment? My hood doesn't align perfectly on the same side and I'm fiddling with the adjustments to get it right.

Yes, its definitely off on that car, most of the pics I have seen of that particular car they are like that... its too low on the pass side and far too wide in the middle and drivers side... you'd think being owned by the museum they'd spend some time on it and adjust it... that would drive me nuts lol!! I have a thing about it haha...

ev305tpi, beautiful car. Looks unusual to see a low mileage deluxe interior in that color. The console and all are so clean. That color interior does not age well when it is well used. Cheers.

Re: heritage 1le
Compnine says 685 1LE cars in 1992 of which 576 were B4C leaving 109 ILE's
There were also 6,606 Z03 Cars produced
Z28 + Z03 = 1,055 100 LB9/MK6, 379 LB9/Auto, 571 L98/Auto
1LE + Z03 = 32 19 LB9/MK6, 13 L98/Auto
1LE + Z03
10U White = 10 - 6 LB9/MK6, 4 L98/Auto
41U Black = 5 - 3 LB9/MK6, 2 L98/Auto
81U Bright Red = 15 - 9 LB9/MK6, 6 L98/Auto
84U Hawaiian Orchid = 2 - 1 LB9/MK6, 1 L98/Auto

Re: heritage 1le
I know a gentleman that bought a new red one with the L98 Automatic with no A/C. He was from Dayton, Ohio. It got T-Boned by a guy running a red light maybe 15 years ago. I don't think it had the Heritage package though. Soon as he pulled up in my driveway to show me the car I knew what it was when it did not have the fog lamps in the front.

Hey guys,
Im the new owner of the Purple Haze L98 Auto 1LE that's posted on here. Ive only had it about a month or so. Its spent all of its life in Illinois and Ohio before I got ahold of it. Its going to need some work, and Im wanting to go back with as many OEM parts as possible, for obvious reasons of course. That being said I would really appreciate any and all advise in doing this!
Thanks,
Jason

Re: heritage 1le
wow how sad to see a car not even make it into the next generation of restorers. Just crush it for cheap scrap metal change. I do have good news there might be 1 1LE Z28 ZO3 optioned car here in California. The car is in really bad shape and the owner is a scrap metal person. I got to see the car two years ago and it was missing a lot of parts. The engine had about 63,000.00 and it had a 5 speed. The interior has no power windows, no ac. It is Hawaiian Orchid with silver stripes and grey vinyl interior. The one thing I wish I could of done was take pictures, but he wouldn't allow it. I did look at the sticker and it had the z03 option z28 option and 1le. I was interested in buying it but the guy won't respond and I've kept tabs. I ended up buying another 1992 25th zo3 black with red vinyl 5 speed 305 tpi with Car & Custom T Tops. I'm going to try and get in touch with the guy and see if there is any hope to rescue the car.

Re: heritage 1le
Always been a fan of the Z03 Z28's. Have had 3 of them over the last few years. Still have 2. And I recently got my first 1LE. Now I'm on the hunt for that 1LE Z03. I found that red one listed above with 55k miles. Send some emails from the info I collected. Not sure if it ever sold or not.
a red on black 5 speed 1LE Z03 Z28 would be my dream. Not sure it exists but I'd still take that other one with L98 and grey interior.
anyone have any inside info on one ?
