Performance Fuel Tank options?

Performance Fuel Tank options?
Does anyone offer a modified tank, and/or pickup assembly, or baffled with sumps for our 3rdgens?
I have seen the typical 4rthgen plastic swaps, and the factory replacement tanks with fitment issues. This isn't what I'm talking about.
I'm looking for more specific performance oriented options.
I have heard of "Tanks" from Summit Racing, but have not looked into that yet.
Tell me what you know please.

Re: Performance Fuel Tank options?
A factory 4th gen tank (the plastic tank) does not have baffles. It has a bucket around the fuel pump that keeps fuel level high local to the pump even when the fuel level is lower in the tank. Even so, fuel is still scavenged from the tank so you don't want the fuel level to go real low regardless.

Re: Performance Fuel Tank options?
Sounds like a great tank for sumped then, all but not being stainless.
However I have decided not to go sumped, and instead use a plastic factory tank and work with that.
So when you guys get your factory plastic tanks, what year/model do you specifically ask for?

Is there anything wrong with these?

I did my own mods to stock tank, here are some ideas. Sizes and components are merely dependent on your application.
My car is for road racing and the occasional street drive.I have -10 rollover valve/vent, -8 fuel lines mostly depending on the HP rating. My pump is no longer in tank for the serviceability aspect. I’ll post more as it progresses, this is far cheaper than buying a cell or an aeromotive tank system. Only disclaimer is your responsible in the proper and safe installation of all these parts.

If the cars application is for road racing, without a sump aren't you running the risk of starvation from fuel slosh?

Re: Performance Fuel Tank options?
Nope never seen the inside of a Camaro's fuel tank, rather familiar with a Firebirds though, not sumped I know and not all are baffled like the later third gen models. If your going through the hassle of modifying the tank why not go all the way, whether it was you or someone else that welded that bung seems they got the skill to do it, with a sump you, barring fuel pump failure, eliminate fuel starvation with the sump acting like a funnel with the added benefit of the sump catching the debris floating in the tank, seems to me like cheap insurance.

It was me who welded it, good luck finding a sump off the shelf for that tank lol. Been there done that

Here’s a little progress of the plumbing. Ready to start making all the rigid lines. The vent/roll over line is -10 and the pressure and return are -8 an all sufficient for a motor over 450 horse.

Re: Performance Fuel Tank options?
A -8 feed and return line will be good to like 1100-1200 whp. Probably more tho. Lots of guys do 1100+ whp with -8/-6 feed return lines

Re: Performance Fuel Tank options?
Please take a look at recommendations.
Remember these are merely recommendations, but also bear in mind before I even install any fuel line on my car or even purchased anything my engine was built by me and run on the dyno. I know what it makes for power and I know what I need to install for supporting devices to make certain it will still make that power.

Have you ran this on a chassis dyno yet?

Are you going to run E85 to make the most of your power for the turbo application, cause if so you need even bigger lines.

Re: Performance Fuel Tank options?
No e85 where I'm at. I'll be running mixed gas at about 105-108. My lines will still get me there on e85 I'll just use more pressure to keep up or possibly a 3rd inline pump
