Color match help
I have a 85 iroc and I'm cleaning up some odds and ends. I'm wanting to repaint the air filter cover and fog light housing, can anyone tell me what kind of paint I should use (gloss, semi, flat) I'm aiming for original stock look, any input would be greatly appreciated

Re: Color match help
I'm not sure that I would spray a lug nut cover. I think with those I'd try a plastic polish on each one of use some sort of buffing wheel.
I'd use Dupli color trim black. Can GET At Most auto PART store. This is what it looks like.

Re: Color match help
The lug nuts in 85 were steel capped. Plastic polish wouldn't do much except remove the paint. Any household rattle can would work for lug nuts. I want to say I used semi-gloss Krylon most recently, but Rustoleum, or Duplicolor, or anything really is going to work about the same. After a few on/off cycles they'll undoubtedly need to be repainted again.

Re: Color match help
I ended up getting both paints above, the trim paint is definitely the shade I needed to get that stock look. I tried the engine paint on the filter cover first and it left this kinda sparkly finish tomorrow I will be sanding and hitting it with the trim paint. thanks again for the advice
