Thank you for taking time to look at this listing - I am looking for a Gunmetal Gray 1989 GTA Convertible w/ 5.7L and original condition.
I have found two, and unfortunately they both had issues. If you have one, please send me an email (though the site/forum) OR - if you know of one and the owner is interested in selling, please let me know. Thank you.

From published figures/data:
ASC continued to make Convertibles for Pontiac dealerships. A total of 330 Convertibles were reported by ASC. A portion of those were 350 powered Convertibles. NOTE: 1989 was the First year a US Dealership could order T-top and a 350 Engine in a firebird. Since all Convertibles started as a CC1 (T-Top) car and converted by ASC 1989 would also be the only year to get a 350 powered third generation Firebird convertible.

Interesting that the car in the pictures has a indy badge on the lower fender ground FX.
I also noticed the right rear tire is on the wrong side or just put on wrong. It also looks a bit smaller than a 245.
That 3rd brake light looks like a late 88 or early? 89? OKFOZ has waaaaaaay more info on these.

I'm kind of being serious.
This might be a cheaper & quicker route for you. I thought you said on FB you've been looking for years for one. You might have to build your own.

Those things are like Unicorns. Most ASC GTA convertibles were RED BLACK White
Gunmetal 89 350 car
someone would have had to ordered that color then say they wanted a convertible for another 6G
harder than needle in a haystack. I've had plenty and had a gun metal GTA over 10 yrs ago. 305 TPI. Don't mean to discourage you but I've paid attention for the last 15 yrs and have seen two. One just sold recently and guy bought it off Ebay. I'm all for going the hard and impossible with these cars. My 87 I just purchased a year ago needed a power top pull down
in all years I've seen had two of those motors in my hand
Good Luck buddy. If I run across one you'll be first to know

Re: (Wanted / WTB ) 1989 ASC GTA 5.7L Convertible
With that specific car you want the best thing to do is just wait and check out every lead until you find one. I found my 87 rear top pull down motor and switch things people said couldn't be found and only seen in pictures. Patience will pay off. look at this way if you start putting a dollar away everyday until you find one it will make the purchase easier and always keep your mind on it…I'll keep my eyes open since I always check out convertibles no matter what condition. I know this that convertible is probably sitting in a garage and that person might be old and sick with the car forgotten for now. I bought my 87 GTA vert in Miami form the 77 yr old who was going into a nursing home. I've had all the 89 350 cars. A GTA A TA and A Formula…all 350 verts
