Yup that's my 84. It looks like hell but it only has 70k miles on it. Some rust on the inner rockers and hood but other than that it's clean. Trying to get the title fixed then it will be my dd. Cleaned it a little bit, there's actually nice paint underneath. I'll make a build thread when the time comes.

My first papa photo! I never have my camera ready when I spot them. I could have been closer.

Re: Parking Lot Paparazzi
Note the temp in stop and go traffic creeped up to about 220. On the go, temp seems to be about 170-180. If you sit in traffic in the heat, it'll creep up until the fan finally kicks in (which means over 230), at which point it comes down to 215-220 until you start moving again. It tends to stay cooler overall if you have the AC on. Stock thermostat, had the cooling system flushed many times when I got it to clear some rust out.
Car runs strong, rolling into the throttle on an uphill onramp in 2nd and the backend gets loose. It still surprises me despite all the negative things you read about the 305TPI. About the only issue it has is with the AC on, there are a few hesitation points up the RPM band. Not sure if that's reality for an old car with AC (parasitic loss) or if there's something else going on.

And since we took this off topic for a minute, here's a California blue plate bird in west LA:

Took the GTA for a spin up the road towards New Market, Alabama. Got behind this RS. Nice shape but smoked a little.

I have seen one in bad shape. At a drag strip for sale in 1997. I didn't have the coin at the time and couldn't convince my Dad to give $1000 for it!

Looks like the TA either is super safe with his lights up during the day, or needs a repair kit. Thats the only thing I didn't like about the 'birds, when the lights break and the pop ups are up all the time. Lol
