theres many threads all over the boards were this happens

if we cant get the size turned up how about a feature that lets u click the pic to see it full sized,a few other boards im on has this feature it scales down any pic above 800x600 but in an orange bar above the pic it says this img has been resized click here to view fullsized picture

Re: automatic img resizing

Those images are linked, they are not hosted on our servers, I don't think that there is anything we can do on our end to make it more readable. The size limit is as far as I know is only for the images that are attached, not linked. In my experiences the original poster who links the pics is in control to what size the pics are or it is the website they are hosted on. I may be wrong on this but that is I think how it works.

Re: automatic img resizing

The images that are linked to from other sources beyond our control are in fact resized on our end. This was done a few years ago to prevent those posting large images that would blow out the margins of the forums - which would cause vertical scroll bars for some users' display (depends on your resolution settings, etc.)

Your images were 1024 pixels in width. So even though 1024 resolution is common, that particular image, if not altered, would blow out the margins because you have to factor in the forum's content as well.

But I will look into possible options as I understand many may not know that you can simply right-click on the image and view the image at full resolution. I understand there probably should be some better (easier) option, or at the very least some type of notice.

Re: automatic img resizing

thnx, yeah i run a huge screen ress 1200x1600 so things liek that done affect me,and i totally understand the resizing.but on a few forums im on they also resize but above each posted image it says this img has been resized fullr es @xxx x xxxx etc click here to view full sized img.

this allows the person to view the full img without having to right click on it.was just wondering if that was something that could be done here.
