Morrow, love the build and all the custom parts, your build has inspired some of the mods on my car. What T-tops are those, are they custom?

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
First coat of primer down, more block sanding, then remove doors and rear hatch and then it's time for sealer, metallic charcoal, then black headlight buckets , louvers, and tow loops... Then time to clear cut and buff

Link to those headlights? Any wiring or housing mods needed?

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
The headlights are eBay housings that I cut half off of the back. I removed the glass, and fiberglassed the housing and mounted projectors out of a 2014 Lincoln Navigator with high low integration. I have pictures somewhere

Hope you don't mind, don't mean to steal the thunder of that awesome gray paint. Just played around a bit in photoshop for this...

Dude you gotta tell me more about the hood latches. Did you just weld them on and finish them. I assume they are still Aerocatch?

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
Yes they are aero catch flush mounts that I bonded them in as well as welded studs in to mount them , then they were shaved down and body worked

Man, this car looks amazing!!! 😍 When are you putting that front splitter back on? I can't wait to see that! Also, I know you said you weren't working on them at the time. Any change on that? I'd be very interested in having one.

How did you integrate the Aerocatch latches? Did you install it from the top and then fiberglass it in? I really like that flush look

I hate the look of hood pins, but that looks so good. I will probably do that when I get around to paint and body work for my 73

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
Hot Dog I'm going to love this thread I know it. I seriously can't wait to see what other projects you have in store.
It's good to see the car with a solid paint color but, I can't help thinking you'll want to mod the body or add to it in the future. Was this a simple thing to get done (bodywork & paint) or would you say you're about completed with the body and panel mods?
I just want to toss ideas out loud to see if anything could happen. There are a few mods I'd like to make that I can't quite get created because I don't have the tools needed to figure it out. Plus, my ideas are usually Drift oriented and not many are into that. I want to put a since of Japanese styling towards these cars, but with muscle and hard edges as the underlining idea. You know, MERICA! lol I've always loved the 3rd Gen hardlines. Just, SOLID. Anyway...
-Widebody GFX ONLY. Kitted to the likes of the 91-92 style with flares. (No door pieces though ;P). Full replacements, maybe even new fenders will molded flares for the front. Something like over-fenders for the rear quarter panels like that of the AE86 and 240sx vehicles. Maybe even something hardcore like Rocket Bunny style kits??
-Carbon Fiber Headliners, Sun Visors and Sail Panels (simple grid opening for speakers)
Or all interior panels for that matter (kick panels first please ;P)
-Door Sills (aluminum, CF)
-Belly Pan (Both Simple "50/50 function/aesthetic" and Complex versions)
-Diffuser (^^^^^)
-Carbon Fiber 3-piece wing (like Hawks Thirdgen 5" spoiler) that replaces the stock wing as far as mounting, but keeps that aggressive "NASCAR" feel to it coming off the back like the one you made for your car.
Alright, sorry about that idea takeover but I can't help myself when I see potential, and want to toss ideas out lol. Thanks for posting so much and keeping us updated. As I said, can't wait to see more. Adios for now.

I've considered getting over fenders for a 240SX or something and trying to fit them to my car, but the price keeps me from it. I'm in a similar boat as you, but I'd like to give my car a Le Mans styling to it.
Can't wait to see the car reassembled Morrow!

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
as for paint? i dont think ill do any more mods to the body that requires stripping back the paint.
there are countles hours in the fenders and the car was blocked 4 times
i now have the diffuser back on but for the splitter i still need to lay felt on the mating surface of the splitter so it makes a soft surface to lay against the paint.
as for the interior, im going more tward a european high end feel
original interior panels for the most part, some a bit modified but still have the original feel..
black and grey alcantera with orange diamond stiched accents
carbon fiber trim
going for an exotic look and feel

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
That gas door. JELLY JELLY JELLY! Been wanting that look for YEARS! (I had the idea after seeing a few trucks using them) but I'd like mine indented into the door where as yours comes out from the body.
I wanted to ask. I bought the Aerocatch Flush set like you and seeing the flex my hood gets now I'm very curious as to how they'll hold up (yours) during some extreme corner carving.
So I went ahead and bought the Plus Flush set as well since I do plan on tossing this car sideways a lot.
Now, if I go with putting the Plus Flush on the hood, I'm thinking of using the other set for the hatch and make that pin on and get rid of the hatch latch and components.
Dude, I'm just loving your build.
Belly Pan the whole car? You m........... you ;P ;P

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
The fuel cap is mostly recessed into the fender. There is just enough sticking out to grip the cap to unscrew it. As the the hood latches. They are the flush latches mounted from underneath then they were shaved and boy worked and color matched to they look like part of the hood. I have had them on for a few years and never had an issue. Thanks for the kind words by the way. Yes after the LS swap I plan to belly pan the whole car

Re: Equilibrium Camaro
The Grille Center cutout. I need to do that too. Teehee. IDK about the tow hook, but I'd like to add a black diamond mesh grill back there. Thought it would give the front end a bit more of a "muscle" look. Or something like that. That CF looks so good.
Edit: Also digging the recessed Fog/Marker lights. Didn't notice that before.
