Where does this go
I'm trying to piece together a car. Been years since I worked on a third gen. To save time looking through pics after pics where does this harness go to.

Looks like the VATS wires to me. Coming from Ignition switch.

Re: Where does this go
The other wires the black plug connects to, one of them is a purple wire if I can remember correctly. I know on the 89 model the wires are yellow for vats and 91-92 models the wires are white that run through the steering column to the ignition. Very thin and delicate wires, especially at the ignition switch. they usually break at the ignition over time from the constant turning of the ignition switch.

Very essential wires unless you want to bypass the module or something like that. which I wouldn't unless you absolutely have to.

Ok cool so in my situation it's useless. Car is gutted there's no pcm or vats around. I agree I wouldn't disable it if I had all the parts. Being this car was stripped this is one thing I won't add back.

Good deal! Best of luck on the build man. Are you going to do a thread of the rebuild? What year and model is she? What are your plans for the engine or paint?

I'm glad to see another third gen getting saved instead of getting scrapped. Good to hear. 454 is gonna be nice. Good luck!
