Locating exhaust manifold bolts?

Hey y'all, I've got a 1985 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 and I'm in the process of putting some hooker headers on it. I've got the absolutely trash Y-pipe off of it, but I'm having a hard time locating the bolts on the manifold. Is there a diagram for dummies that is straightforward that might help me? Thanks.

maybe try to find pictures online of the stock manifolds and see the bolt hole locations. also there is these locking tabs on the bolts that fold over the heads of the bolts to prevent them from backing out, you wont be able to get a socket on the bolts until that tab is bent off the head of the bolt. not an easy task to do with the engine in the car

Does this help? Note: the brass plugs are where the AIR tubes used to be on this set.

Re: Locating exhaust manifold bolts?

Here is a video I took a couple years ago. I made it so I would remember which fasteners go in what hole after I got my block back from the machine shop. It should give you an idea of which manifold studs/bolts you need to work on. I think I broke off at least 2 studs removing my manifolds. It took some doing to get the broken pieces out of the heads. Best of luck. Hopefully you'll get lucky and it will all come apart without much swearing.
