making a bbc efi manifold for my third gen camaro. using weiand base manifold used a bridge port to mill some off the top for hood clearance .made a adapter plate and used the holley lsx top plenum 102mm opening still working on it just need to weld it and do some port work and done. here are some pics.

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
Sorry to drag this one from the dead, and a long shot on getting a response. I just saw this post, I am doing a Gen VI 496 swap on my car, and am having a hard time finding a reasonable mpfi intake for oval ports. How did this turn out? Cool idea!

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
converting from carburated over to efi but im gonna try to make power over a single plane, edelbrock victor jr set that im currently running,
lets hope it makes more than this 509rwhp and 479 rwtq at 7000 rpm

Awesome ingenuity, that LS upper is pretty pricey though right? I wonder if I could modify a Stealthram upper, or build something similar. I am anxious to see your results.
I worked with Holley HP on another project, it is user friendly and very powerful. I was really impressed, and I know Dominator is a step up. I am going to work with the 411 a little more, just because I like to complicate things.
What are the specs on the motor?

Oh yea, that baby should have a lot more in her 11to1 solid roller.
Sorry to keep askin, you are running a setup very close to what I am planning. I am currently running an LT-1 t56, and am trying to figure out how it is going to mount up. What flywheel did you use with yours (I know you are on a ls1 t56).
Some stuff I have read is the LT-1 flywheel will actually mount up to the gen vi crank.

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
Interesting intake but i wonder how well it would compare to the edelbrock tunnel rams or single plane victor efi's. Looks identical to the sbc stealth ram base and those only could support so much power before the runner size was a restriction

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
Thanks ,here is a quick update on what ive done lately.bought a holley 105mm throttle body hoping to make it work with the 102 holley plenum with some minor port matching.i dont think it gonna work -_- .so im just gonna have to buy the 105 version and sell the 102.getting closer to finishing

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
There is no way that opening is 2mm smaller, maybe something like 90mm if the throttle body is 105mm. It wouldn't be that big a deal to open that one up to match the throttle body assuming it bolts on and there is enough metal there, by hand or on a mill if you have access to a bridgeport (it would be more work to fixture it on the mill then the cutting).
Why didn't you just bolt it to the top of the manifold since it already has bolt holes?
Didn't the original base have more shape to it, I'd be worried about airflow/distribution issues with that flat bottom.

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
I worked with the Holley HP EFI, very nice setup, and I know the Dominator has tons of extra features. Please keep us updated on your progress I am really interested.

Re: hybrid big block efi manifold
yeah i got it running already but wont have any dyno numbers yet maybe in one month.so far throttle response is a lot quicker , no more idle rich smell and it seems to rev faster sounds a lot better too
