This thread is for August 2016 COTM **Nominations**PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE COTM NOMINATION RULES BEFORE PROCEEDING TO NOMINATE A MEMBER’S RIDE FOR COTM. REMEMBER, WE MUST PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CONTEST SO THAT THE MOST DESERVING MEMBER WINS. This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 10 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. Cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO Member.
Do not ask your wife, husband, friends, extended family, etc. to register as TGO Members for the purpose of nominating your car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car or to nominate multiple cars.
This is not a picture thread. Post only one (1) good photo of the car you wish to nominate. Do not use a photo-edited picture.
You must post a picture with your nomination. This must be a full-sized picture (or at the very least, a pic or thumb that enlarges into a full-sized picture when you click on it).
Correctly identify the user name of the member who you nominate.
Correctly identify the year and model/trim of the car you nominate.
Do not nominate cars that are not in a high quality, finished state.
And if you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your ride (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album.)
*****This Month's Criteria***** FREEDOM OF CHOICE
Any high quality, finished condition 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird.
Decision made!!! I'm nominating Arnold, aka GASPEDDLER, and his stunning all original 1989 IROC-Z 5.7 TPI!!! I absolutely love the originality of this car, and Arnold takes such good care of it!
Kymee. Thanks for the nomination of my favorite 'Bird. as i've always said, as special as winning is, its an honor just to be nominated. so it is a great compliment to have been nominated by someone who i think knows a nice 'Bird when she sees one.
I will respectfully sit this one out however. i have already been nominated twice before, and i think, been shown an appropriate amount of love given the competition. like you, Kymee, i like the color, i'm liking the WS6 4th Gen wheels, and as always, am lovin' the sexy lines of a 3rd Gen Formula. but before i compete for COTM again, i would like to bring something big to the table - specifically, forced induction, which is in the "laying the groundwork" phase.
Thank you for the nomination, it really is appreciated.

You are welcome Linson! I can understand your reasoning for declining the nomination. But I must say-there is something about a Formula 350. Yes, no frills, plain Jane, vanilla wrapper, whatever. I have some cool other cars, but my Formula is like the gift that keeps on giving. Driver, cruiser, collectible, she fits all the titles. I just have a real appreciation for them, especially ones that have not been thrashed on and respected by their owners. I am a very happy Formula 350 enthusiast.
Needs polished and waxed, as it has so many lil swirls and imperfections from the build thrash the last 4 months... but THANK YOU! Spent many hours holding pads on that old paint for the last 17 years!
