Re: Wider fenders and a wider front track width anybody?😈
$800-$1k sounds reasonable for a functional carbon fiber splitter, but I would have to have some kind of proof that it's functional, not just cosmetic. Yes it looks awesome and appears that it will functional but if it had some actual testing and downforce measurements with it, that would seal the deal.
Have you considered fiberglass for a lower cost option? The splitter would be a great product for us autoX/RR guys. I'd hate to see this end up like the Unbalanced Engineering De-coupled Torque Arm and be discontinued due to low sales despite it being one of the best options on the market.
I do have one question, how does the splitter effect cooling since these cars have the lower air dam underneath?

It has a cut out for the air dam I have thought about doing it in fiberglass and that is an option... If we can get a group buy in I can get them manufactured . The goal will be to test all of the aero parts I have . I'll remove all of it and run a few laps with each part separately... And then with all of it on and get lap times ... Numbers are always a good thing to have. I know it all works... I can feel it in the car, but numbers are a big deal

The hood Louvers help evacuate turbulent air from under the car as well

I've been following your progress Morrow. I'm a huge fan. If you decide to build and sell the front and rear splitter I'd would be a buyer. I saw your classifieds post on the spoiler as well. Super cool stuff. Keep it up.

I'm currently working on getting it into production. I'm working with a manufacturer right now . I just need a group initial buy in. As for the diffuser, I can make it to any dimension you need for the most part. . The set up I'm running requires a lot of exhaust modifications. Mine is a blown defuser which means the exhaust blown into the air stream. The splitter I have , I made from scratch ... If I can get enough people ready to buy one then I can start production. Each one will weigh about 5 lb or less and will be 100% carbon fiber , very well made peice .. Cost for each splitter will be between 800 and 1000 ... Keep in Mind this is a fully functional part designed specifically for aerodynamic performance gains... It's not a air dam added to the bumper, it's 69x34 inches and is molded to the factory 92 body graffics .
Got photos of the exhaust? Mine dumps at the axle with turn downs.

I am currently working with a company on producing the front splitter. As of now, I need a buy in of 6 parts .. Each splitter should be between 800 to 1000. It's full carbon fiber hollow core and would weigh about 5 pounds it measures 69x34 ... The diffuser I make from aluminum and the exhaust dumps through it. I don't currently have any photos of the exhaust but I'll try to get a couple soon

That... is exactly what I've been searching for. Sadly, outside my budget now, but damn that looks good!
Totally subbed to this thread now. Definitely pinching the pennies as well, lol

I've been thinking about this splitter a lot because I love it, and I really want one. I've come up with a suggestion for you. Make it removable. I'll be pissed if I spend that kind of money and it gets damaged on the streets. Anything could happen, rabbit could run out in front of me, I could misjudged a parking block or entrance, etc. If it's easy to install and remove like with quarter turn fasteners (I think that's what nuffnuff had) I could only install it for track days to protect my investment.
This concern is the same reason I asked if you were considering a cheaper fiberglass option.
The front OE spoiler on my 69 Camaro is $35. It is cheap! Only other option is a carbon fiber one for several hundred. If it gets broke, no big deal. I'm on the third one because stuff happens

The splitter is I fact removable . I took a couple pics of my exhaust setup as well. Really hope to find the time to finish the body work so I can paint it asap..

Man I love what your doing so much that I actually logged back into TGO for the first time in a really long time to check it out. You're doing just about exactly what I'm planning to do to mine shortly with the splitter and diffuser. Any plans for some side splitters or an undertray? Also are you going to convert to s front breather setup and duct the radiator to the hood?

First let me say, if I do indeed see white t-tops, then I absolutely love that look.
Now where is SketchyZ28 when you need him lol. I eventually want an extended a-arm in preparation for drifting the Camaro. We've had a few members on here go with custom extended a-arms and even had a Rep from BMR see if they could make them. Unfortunately the community wasn't in for them. I still feel this is a new idea for a lot of 3rd Gen owners and until it becomes more common it will be hard to find enough backing for these to go into production. A good price can make people buy what they don't need though ;P ;P
With that said I wish the best of luck and when the time comes (which may be a while) I'll definitely be back for a set...unless Spohn releases a set, then I'd be hard pressed not to go with them

Yes they are indeed color matched t tops. Color of the car is changing to magnetic grey soon. The front control arms are adjustable in width and right now they are adjusted out to 3 inches longer than stock to acomadate the wide body . I cola berated with auto fab race cars to build them and I had modified them again after I received them

I was thinking about dusting the radiator to the hood but I decided not to because it would block the air in the engine compartment from escaping as well. So as it sits not, it extracts heat out of the engine bay and helps lower the air pressure under the hood creating more downforce at higher speed

You know what I'd really like to see since you seem to be the guy doing all these cool little projects.
A Full Belly Pan. And of course I must use this guys Camaro for reference. Please let me know what could be done. Even if in stints
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/susp...maro-pics.html
Lastly, what about a custom Adjustable Radiator Support? I see countless people hacking and slashing and bending aluminum or zipties to bolts to keep aftermarket radiators in place. Would love it if someone made a simple (in my mind) 2-piece setup that would bolt 1 plate to the Radiator Crossmember and the other to the first plate, allowing forward/backward adjustment with a bolt and nylon nut. The second plate could have a few different radiator isolator holes to allow different length isolators to be used for 2-3-4core radiators. That or you could just make me one LMAO. I really need one.

A belly pan shouldn't be too difficult. Just need to pre plan and make it out of cardboard to get a stencil for each peice. Then transfer it to aluminum and bead roll it. You would need to build some sort of sub frame structure for it to mount to. Eventually I plan on doing that... Right now I have the diffuser from the axle back.. And the splitter from the front tires forward. I would need to create a pan that attaches the two. As far as the radiator mount? What style are you looking for. One that goes over the top of the radiator kinda like the stock one but with different heights?

I'll mock something up tomorrow after work. Take some quick measurements and I should have the idea set by the night.

Any chance you'd like to post some pictures of the modifications on
the fenders? I'm curious as to how you did it, I would like to do something similar and I'm looking for ideas.

Just watched the vid and looks like some creative fabbin went into it.
Im liking the front more than the back view, diffuser is so so but if its functional i'll shut up.
Would like to see it doin some auto x to really see how good the susp/steer is after all the mods.
Handling seems to be dialed in just need that V8 now.
