Rear window louver install info needed
I have the factory louvers for my 88, hardware in a box for the last 6 or 8 years. Have to park out of the garage for a while so I need to put them back on. Hardware is mostly easy to figure out, front and rear, but the side brackets are a little bit different. Two have a 1/4 inch or so extension toward the center of the car. Do these go in the forward or rearward position? Also the rear pieces have a white plastic layer, is this just a pad of sorts or a double sided adhesive deal?

Figured it out. The side brackets are labeled FSB and RSB, front side bracket, etc. Looks like the rear brackets would need emblem tape to stick to the glass. Sure a different look than I'm used to.

Super easy install. 2 steps to it.
Step one- find nearest industrial waste bin
Step two- Chuck that ugly pos in there.
Hope that helps.

And while we are at it, does anyone know where to get replacement dzus fasteners? When I bought my louvers, they didn't come with the fasteners but had the hardware. I don't know what size they are and have ordered the wrong size before! They aren't cheap to keep guessing!

Re: Rear window louver install info needed
I bought these from CircleTrackSupply.
PanelFast -DZUS Fastners 5/16" STEEL UNDERCUT ALLEN (HEX) BUTTONS
TYPE: PANBU5500- 5/16in. OVAL HEAD STEEL .500in
Silver instead of black, takes a larger hex than factory, and at 0.500" they have a longer reach. With a washer/spacer fastened to the bracket to make thing taught, they might be fine, as my louver-to-bracket has a natural gap there anyway.
They do have a 0.450" option available, which will go toward closing up the gap the 0.500's have.
Shipping is expensive.

Honestly I like the rear window louvers. I got a reproduction set from Classic and they fit perfectly.
To each their own I guess.

That looks good. I have an '89 Formula with that exact same spoiler. I've been considering getting the louvers myself, but was concerned whether or not they would fit with that spoiler. Did you have to make any modifications for that to work?
