These pics are for all that couldnt attend.....I'm sure Chazman and others will add more pics.....these are just a few to give you all an idea of how the turnout was.....
Ok just got back from the show. I drove to/from Atlanta and made it without any issues. It was nice talking/meeting with alot of folks. Anyway, here are the pics I took, sorry for any redundancy to pics that may have already posted.
Merc, how long did it take you to get there? I just left Atlanta headed back to Tampa. Fbody Gathering was okay but certainly not what it used to be. There was probably 20-25 third gens. Not a bad showing.
How often do you see two low mile, white, 5 speed IROC-Z convertibles next to each other?
BTW, note the head light pockets. One retains the original "30 degree" black finish and the other has been glossed up from years of wiping. I intend to restore the head light pockets on my other '89 and '85 to that original "30 degree" finish.

How many cars were there?
I split the difference both ways so I only had to drive 400miles per day. It was over 1600 miles round trip. If you're lucky and don't hit traffic I'd say it's about a 12-13 hour drive straight through. I wanted to put some miles on the car so I skipped the Fbody Gathering. I'd say 30 or more cars at this show but I liked the casual atmosphere, focus on 3rd gens, and it only being 9-2pm.

Nice turn out and those are some great looking third gens! Next year I shouldn't have an excuse not to go. This year the IROC was still in too many pieces and I wanted to get as much done this last weekend as I could possibly do to it. I really wanted to go this year, but not without my thirdgen

I talked to a bunch of guys Saturday, who came, but left their 3rd gens at home, because they were afraid of rain.
I totally understand that. I have a 2nd gen I won't take in the rain, but my 3rd gen will be drivin in the rain. At least till it gets alot further along in its build. I'll certainly be there next year.
wow looks like a great turnout and awesome looking cars. Rats son and I couldn't make it we did have some wiring issues with his car yes the fusible links to the starter all fixed now thanks this site. He did steal my cragar rims from the 77 and put on his car and they look good to me cant beat old style looking cragars. Her pics of his car with them on it.
