LTX and LSXPutting LT1s, LS1s, and their variants into Third Gens is becoming more popular. This board is for those who are doing and have done the swaps so they can discuss all of their technical aspects including repairs, swap info, and performance upgrades.
Why doesnt it work? It uses the same 16mm x 1.5 O-ring fitting as your stock PS pump did. Just thread it in there and bend it back slightly to clear the pulley
Your car is so badass!!!! betcha it surprises the hell outta people! What did you run?
At altitude, ~8500' DA, 13.3's @ 104 mph. Closer to sea level, ~3500' DA, 12.4's @ 110 mph. Not too bad for a bunch of factory parts with "select" aftermarket pieces (headers, air intake, torque converter, gears).
Almost done with mine! I've got a thread showing current progress but gotta finish looming wires and making the intake then I'll have some pics hopefully!
Lots of cool swaps in here. Here are a few of my current setup.Ill post more after I swap to my lq4..just not sure what color scheme I want with the motor and painted red intake.
Stock LS3 oil pan, clears Spohn k-member and the steering doesn't hit it like it did with the gm f-body oil pan. I had to take the f-body pan back of tonight due to the steering not being able to be tightened down without binding on the oil pan. 8.8 qt. pan ftw...
