Car: 1989 camaro iroc
Engine: 350 tpi
Transmission: auto
Axle/Gears: 323
Wire on starter
What is this wire for that I have my finger on .this is on a camaro iroc 350 tpi engine when I got the nothing was label and the starter was off the block. So I don't know how it was hook up

That doesn't go to the starter.
Looks more like the remains of the knock sensor connector. On the block right next to the "front" end of the starter (opposite where its bolts go through).

Either knock sensor or fan temp switch connector.

The knock sensor is the one with white plug and the masking tape on .

Fan temp switch on the passenger side cylinder head. Round connector that looks like the knock sensor used to turn on the fan/s.

So the one on the driver side is for you temperature gauge and the one on the passenger side is for fan temperature switch am on the right page now

Do me a favor and ask them if they have any 90-92 145mph gauge clusters haha last time I called they didn't have any.
