Car: 92 firebird
suggestions please...

this is my first time on this forum, i was refered to come here from a car buddy of mine... i'm havin problems and i'd like to hear and suggestions or advice anyone might have.
i have a 92 firebird, and it all started with my fan belt shreading and overheating real bad.... now, the radiator cooling fan won't turn on till around 250 degrees. i bypassed the relay to make sure the motor was still in tact, and it was, so i replaced the relay, and it still won't turn on til real hot. other than that, i keep overheating on the highway... so there's another problem as well. i replaced the thermostat because there was no pressure in the big hose that goes into the radiator... still it's getting very hot very fast. any input is much appriciated.

be sure you have a good radiator cap, for your fan coming on at such a high temp, check your fan switch.
for the overheat on the highway, make sure your air damn is on the car & in good shape
