Selling/Parting out 93-02 Vehicles
Hi Mods-
I've been around here for a while now, so I know the rules very well. Everyone has always been very open minded about suggestions and comments, so I thought I would being one up that I've been wondering about for awhile.
With regard to the Parts/Vehicles For Sale forums, I understand why the mods are asked to filter out non thirdgen vehicles. I certainly wouldn't want to have to look through a cluster of non thirdgen posts before getting to that 82-92 vehicle that I'm really looking for. What I don't understand is why we don't have a separate sub-forum for 93-02 F-Body parts.
Right now, I have a really great condition LS1 B4C police interceptor car sitting in my storage bay fully loaded with a ton of extra parts that I'm trying to get rid of. The car is going to be posted in local newspapers, autotrader and possibly even ebay, but I would like to offer the opportunity to the TGO community first 1. because of all the help i've received from my friends here, and 2. because of all the viability I can get from prospective buyers.
Virtually everything in a 93-02 car is swappable into a 82-92, it doesn't make any sense that I shouldn't be able to offer the whole car up as a "parts-car" to anyone who wants it. If they decide to drive it for a while, then so be it.
Like I said, I understand and agree that this type of thing doesn't belong in the main forum, but it would be very helpful if there was an offshoot that we could post on. Rules and whatnot would still apply (I would even be willing to moderate it if necessary), but it would give people a chance to find some of those hard to come by 93-02 parts.
There's a huge community here, and providing needed thirdgen parts is something that we already try hard to do. Why not do the same for 4th gen-3rd gen parts?
