please post pictures of NOS bottle locations

I am going to be adding the lovely bottle to my car soon. I was thinking of several places to mount it and was wondering if I could see some pictures. I was thinking of the hump in the back seats, the spare tire well, and just in back(middle) of the cargo area. Thanks in advance. If you want you can e-mail them to me at wolves11@aol.com

Well, I was just out in the garage tonight w/ that very same problem.

1. the hump= doesnt work for me. My guage is bumping against the rear of the center column hatch thnigy. Cant see the guage and it binds up, cant open the hatch, etc. I know someone on here put theres in that location....they must not have a guage. I want to see it by just turning around...not getting out of the car.

2. Spare tire well= too far, have to get out to open it...PITA when re-fill time comes

3. I was thinking(and did) of folding the driver side rear seat down and setting it on there. I dont want to put holes in the car, so I kinda stuck the *** end of the bottle in a snug "corner" and used the fron bracket to hold it at the right angle. I eliminated the rear bracker. Under normal driving it stays there JUST FINE. Obviously I wouldnt auto X with it like that LOL....drag racing...it stays there perfect. Its turns that worry me....but I like to keep it simple so I dunno :/

Car: 98 Camaro SS
Engine: LS1
Transmission: M6
My setup:

I removed the passenger side back seat, and have it mounted there. Only using the front bracket, mounted to the seat bracket, which gives it about a 35 degree upward angle, and then I have it angled towards the center of the car at about 35 degrees. Since it looks alittle off balance, and I'm going to need to pull the other back seat to have my cage installed, I'm going to leave both seats out, and have a 2 bottle setup in the back.... It looks pretty cool with it where the seat used to be. It's completely carpeted, and looks clean.. Plus, I can reach it from the driver's seat to turn it on and off easily, and it's quick to hide it with a sheet.

You may want to work on your bottle mounting if it's wiggly around corners, because that will NOT pass NHRA tech if they get picky at the local track..

few more things to keep in mind, if it's the passenger cabin of the car, you need the blow down tube, and it MUST be securely mounted.

Just saving you a drive to the 1320, for them to tell you that you can't run.

It fits great in the spare tire well and the cover still fits great. But you do need a remote opener if you are going to use it alot.

Here is where mine is placed.. but the norm is the hump/spare tire well or in the bottom of the hatch area...

With it in the spare tire area like that, what if someone hits you right there? Will the pressure release valve be able to let the pressure out fast enough or will the back half of your car be blown off? Thanks

I don't think there is anything to worry about. Remember nitrous by its self is not flammable by its self so the biggest worry is the valve becoming a 12000psi powered projectile if it brakes in an accident and it is safe back there.
