SuperRam/ZZ4/Procharger or Stock TPI/ZZ4/Procharger?
We were about to put on my SR on my ZZ4 and found out to our dismay that the base is a vortec style base (crap!). This meant that me and my friend spent a weekend for nothing. I have a stock tpi on my ZZ4 and am about to put a Procharger on it. Since the SR is still not on, I've been thinking about selling it and going for another mod while in hopes of acheiving the same hp rating w/the procharger/ZZ4 and stock tpi. Is this possible? Let me know what you all think about hp numbers and how much difference it would make. Thanks!

sell the superram base and buy a vortech TPI base and port it
problem solved
but IMHO.....the superram is a waste of money
if you plan to use a long runner type setup...use the TPI
if you want to upgrade from that...put on a LT1 intake, TPIS miniram, or go with a converted carb style

Because in my opinion, to get "superram type" of performance gains, the stock TPI can be modified to deliver as what the superram gives
that is why i say either upgrade the TPI wisely or just go short runner style
i mean, i know of a few people who have went into the 10s on boost alone with a TPI setup. One was a 383 with STOCK TPI stuff and an S-trim..the other was a 355 midly upgraded TPI and and a S-trim. Oh and another with 355 and stock TPI except Accel runners and went 10.80s on boost with a D-1 with 3.08 gears
The Superram just looks cool, but it is a royal pain in the *** to work on (worse than the TPI) and really isn't worth the $$ to make it all worth
but
that is just MY OPINION...and like they say, "opinons are like *******s...everyone's got one

lol thanks 89PROCHARGEDROC. What I would love to see what you all think is if I would see more than a 10th or 2/10ths off my et w/a SR on my procharged application over the stock tpi.

base is good too....you'd probably see a little more but for the price of the superram i personally dont see it as economical hp production
but that is just me![Smilie](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
maybe people run them and like them
i just think buying a pizza instead of that pizza box look alike is money better spent
