Procharger Sound.
Hey guys, this summer Ill be buying a Procharger among other things for my 406 build up. I pretty much know everything I would like to know about them, except how they sound.
Could anyone shed some light on this... sound clips would rule too. I havent seen one in person so help me out here...

just to let you know, the blower was tested at ATI. it made 97dB.
so yes it is pretty loud. and with the hood open, it's almost annoying. But i think i can live with it!!!

CDN_87iroc,
all the brochure's that ATI had sent me, all had a p600 unit in them, ATI has hopefully updated the sales brochures and installation manuals,
if you can scan the pic and post it, i can tell you if its mine or not..
also the p600 mounts differently than the D1sc does. but Hey, that could have changed too, i was one of the test guinea pigs for the install of the D1sc kit in the 3rd gen f-body.
your welcome 88 WS6 TA GTA, some day i'll hopefully get alittle better quailty audio/video, maybe when i get my ride back from the body shop.

john,
thanks for the compliment,
Right now i'm not having any temp troubles with the cooling system, i run a 160 degree t-stat and a 175 fan switch. which seems to work well.

thanks for the compliment,
why haven't you put a new chip in for all the temp control changes?

i would have to disagree with you KDoggsPimpJetta. It is pretty loud but when the hood is shut its alot quieter. I started my car with the procharger on for the first time a few weeks ago and i was like HOLY $**t that is loud, but when i got the hood shut and the blower got oiled up, it got alot softer. I have heard vortech blowers on a mustang and i think the procharger sounds 2x better for what its worth

I have about 8,000 miles on my P600B and it quieted down a bit since it was new but is still definatly a head turner with its whistle. My Formula hood has a removed block plate on the cowl so its a tad louder then most.
But with the hood open I can get anyone to turn thier head and come over to look at the track!
All my friends whether they know about cars or not think its the baddest sound they've heard come from an engine comparment!
I love my ProCharger!
