Still going to be a while till Im on the road.
My short block hasn't even started at the speed shop. I have to pay for that.
After Im done with these headers, Im taking the interior apart to finish the roll cage.
I still have to buy an intercooler, new ful pump, injectors, new rims, vacuum pump, 3 bar MPA and a couple other small things.
And Im back in school 4 nights a week so its going to slow way down now.

Well, stay strong and focus. I've been building mine now for 4 years. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about just selling all my twin turbo stuff. Lately this site has been the only thing keeping me excited about my car. Is yours a street/strip car or are you planning on just track time.

LIL QUIK,
Its mostly race but it can be driven on the street. Has a TH400 with 5000rpm 8" stall. I *hope* to be able to drive it on the street. Converter builder told me no cross country trips but a good cooler and I should be okay.

Have you thought about a solid roller setup and going 8500 rpm's. The only reason I'm asking is the 7000 limit doesn't seem like it would give you very much pull time from 5000. Just asking. Keep in mind I've never had a car that left at 5000. Thats got to be a wild ride.....especially after turbo's.

Here's the info from another thread.
"Actually the motor and turbos are finished. Right now I'm making arrangements for a local shop to help me build the intercooler and run all the plumbing for me since I can't weld aluminum nor have a tubing bender. Here's the specs if your interested and will shoot some pics to you if you like.
High nickel block SB to 383
All forged internals
Banks Twin Turbo Manifolds
T04B Turbos w/ .68 a/r, P-trim wheel, H exh. housing (by memory)
Accel Super Ram Manifold
1000 cfm Throttle Body
55# (prob. going to 83 shortly) Accel injectors
Solid Roller Cam 236/244 dur. @.050 .590/.590 lift 112 ls.
P&P Brodix Track 1 heads
Using a TKO transmission w/ Lakewood bell housing
Currently on a built 10 bolt w/ Auburn Pro Series and 3.73 gears
Billet Sabers 17x9/17x11--275/40,315/35
Just need the intercooler and plumbing, a good 9", and a dual disk cluth and I should be ready to have some fun. And ofcourse let the local magician work his magic with my DFI. Like I said if you like I'll shoot some pics of the set up and the car if you like."
I'm not finished yet so I dont have any times. I want 9.50's on my drag radials. There are a couple of guys in the area doing it but they don't have the power that I'm planning on. I'm sure it will take me a while to learn and drive the car. It's a 1991 Z-28. Look for a post in about 3 hours and I'll give ya'll the pics and all the info on my baby. Sorry the post is so long.

Anyway's
Back to the tech. talk
Looks very good Guido ....makes me think twice about My D1 sc project
Just curious what are your plans/routing for air intake ? ......any type of cowl set up or are you going to pick up underneath the car or something?
looks like it might be kinda tricky plumbing for intercooler

Sheesh, what the hell went on up there?
Guido, now your getting to the hard part, making all those pipes converge into one place!!!
Looks good, I cant wait to hear that big monster shearing some air at 7000!
Cobrakiller,i'm not sure what you mean about the fans, but they dont blow on the motor to cool it,they move air through the rad to cool it. The motor plates have no bearing on the cooling systems effectiveness, but they hold that f-in killer smallblock in there nice, dont they!
Later,John.

Gweed, forgive me if you've siad it in the past or if i just dont know, but what sort of intake is that >? how much does it flow and why did you choose it over the miniram. Due to the fuel rails?

Lil Qwik how much more restrictive are those manifolds over a header style that guido is working on. Also, anyone know what kind of intake Guido is going to be running.. It isnt the miniram he used to have is it? That's something different

Guido's headers are going to flow alot better than my maniflods will. The main thing I was concerned with was rather or not I could hit 1000+ Hp with the manifolds. After a couple of shops assured me that I could then I went ahead and purchased them. Especially since I'm only looking for 800-1000 HP and custom headers were going to run me quite a bit more money. Guido might be looking more more HP than me and I believe he has better resources to build his own headers. As far as his intake, I can't quite remember.

I kinda like the way Guido did his, more or less out of the way.......I think the only advantage that I might have over Guido's setup is that I might be able to spool up faster. But I don't think he's too concerned with that being that I think he's mainly a track car as opposed to me being a street car. I actually like the placement of your wastegates better FAQman.

LiL I know nothing about exhaust gasses so bear with me when i ask the following. Is there the possibility that your Manifold will be too small and restrictive? In my simple mind it works like this.. Four tubes going into one. The manifold doesnt look much bigger if any than a single tube on my headers at home. Will there not be too much turbulence also created by the fact that the gasses are not lead away from the "port" (???) Instead they're channeled along hitting one then another and another untill it hits the final one. It seems to me that the exhaust port closest to the end of the manifold will be releasing the most ehxaust gas as it is not competing with three other ports like the one at the other end is.
I'm not going to bring it up because some folks will get mad but will this create too much backpressure (for those that subscribe to the belief of backpressure).
Thankyou for your time
