Stabilizing a turbo

It would seem to me that a turbo would vibrate like crazy, just sitting on the header. Is it necessary to stabiliaze it somehow, or does the exhaust and intake piping stabilize it enough? Just a curious question..

Good point. Look what the factory does.

You'll see support brackets going to turbos, and the turbo is mounted on a chunk of cast iron (manifold).
