Looks really nice. Too bad you cant route that exhaust out back though.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
My car is wicked loud too, and I have full exhaust.
If it was a trailer queen and only made 1/4 mile runs I wouldn't be that picky about it, but if I actually want to drive the car somewhere with a passenger I'd like to be able to have a conversation, hear things around me, etc. I'm on the fence as to how to make mine a little more quiet. Maybe add some chambered mufflers before the rear muffler.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
If you want quieter run either Magnaflow or a Borla.....Chambered mufflers are no good for supercharger.turbocharged engines due to backpressure issues Also I don't drive mine everyday...but im still contemplating a rear exit exhaust once i'm able to physically and financially
2 ½” Inlet/Outlet Hooker Aero Chamber 324 CFM
2 ½” Inlet/Outlet Borla Turbo 373 CFM
2 1/2" Inlet/Outlet Magnaflow 284 CFM
That's why I went with the Aerochamber back in 1999 and have always used it. Flows really well and figured it was middle of the road on sound. The Borla is a little better, but don't they have that ring ?

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
Years back they did a flow test on all the popular mufflers:
2 ½” Inlet/Outlet Hooker Aero Chamber 324 CFM
2 ½” Inlet/Outlet Borla Turbo 373 CFM
2 1/2" Inlet/Outlet Magnaflow 284 CFM

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
Looking at boost controller from Holley that will work with my ecu....and also thought about selling the car and not having something to work on for a couple years but cant seem to pull the trigger on that.
'Not sure why im dealing with this issue right now to be honest.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
I suspect the software works the same as anything else, a TPS vs RPM boost target table. A solenoid. Run a minimum spring in the WG, connect the line to the solenoid.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
Most electronic ones should have two solenoids, one to increase pressure and one to vent for control. A good controller is a necessity for high hp control but also fun for street use. As you can have a low boost and high boost setting with a simple switch, on some models like the old ams500 i have. Others you can activate higher stage boost per time with ramp rates like boostleash

On a two solenoid application, you use a solenoid to force boost pressure on the other side of the diaphragm to keep the valve closed?
I know on OEM applications it's just a single solenoid and a weak spring.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
Yeah its a 3 port solenoid i think. One is setup to receive the boost supply or better yet, the external co2 tank supply, and sends it to the gate(s). Then decrease solenoid is T'd in and is pulsed to vent to atmosphere so you can raise and lower boost as you go. The controller has to have a way to prevent overshooting

Come get your 5.3. I have to do a side shuffle to walk around in my garage, I've got so much crap.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
Meanwhile while deciding on a few other things that I need to finish on the car I have been doing some research on the MAC EBC solenoid since it is the same as the Holley one that I have been looking at.....I found one with the necessary lines and fitting included.......Tax time needs to arrive sooner....lol

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
Since it's been snowing here and I am able to work on my car again and install the parts I had waiting for the Camaro I managed to re install the heater core hoses and get the heat working again for those cool fall days. I also replaced the rear shocks, installed drag bags and a Founders panhard bar relocation kit.
I've also installed a new steering wheel and reconnected the line loc that I haven't used in 6 yrs.
What's next? Not quite sure yet...oh wait....I scored a new set of 83 lb Holley fuel injectors on Friday

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
LOL. I have installed CTS-V front calipers and hoses with Z06 14" rotors. Also sold my other wheels and bought and installed C7 Z06 Replicas.
Removed my old carpet and installed new front and back carpet.
Traded my TKO 600 to my stepson for his T56 which I put a stage 2 kit in with a nice Centerforce DF clutch topped off with a nice custom driveshaft for the Moser 9" I also put in as well.
Next on my list is revamping my turbo hotside setup and then finally getting it dyno tuned in the spring.
I guess you could say I have been very busy this past year. Hahaha

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
I hope you lowered the axle side with that PHB relocation. I had the founders installed on mine so i could run a 4" exhaust and I sold it with the 4" exhaust. It pushed the frame side down so far the PHB angle was all wrong. I already had made my own lowering bracket on the axle side but it had to be lowered considerably to keep the PHB parrallel to the ground. What they also dont tell you is when you lower the PHB you have to increase rear spring rate or sway bar size to compensate for the lower roll center. Basically it does more harm than good lol.
But the rims look sweet!!! Beautiful car.

Re: Going from a single turbo to twins
haha I wouldnt call the CX kit "quality" but they make the welds look nice on the outside.... inside not so much. They are Mig'd by a 3 yr old and then someone goes over the top side with a TIG to clean them up. My single CX kit on my 5.3 looks just like this.
Looks good tho! How loud was the front exhaust? Makes turbo plumbing and routing MUCH easier to dump out the front but of course worried about exhaust noise. The turbo acts like a muffler to some extent but you can't really get a sense of how loud something is via a video on youtube. I ran mine all the way out the back through a 3" catback and its stupid quiet. Same setup as my supercharger with basically just a swap from supercharger with LTs into the same 3" catback to a turbo made a huge difference in how quiet it is.
