That all depends on how you set it up, and the condition of the engine to start with. How much boost will be running? How will you adjust the amount of fuel the engine needs? Will it be driven hard all of the time? I assume that you will be buying a vortech/procharger kit. They are pretty complete and have decent directions. Will you be intercooling this beast?
Where in Jersey are you?

yes, eventually you'll break something........your engine isn't built for supercharger setup. it's a gamble that your willing to take.
personally, 9 psi. on a stock everything will go quickly, as well as you won't recieve a lot of the power gain. i'd say 5-10,000 before you need to replace something and that's if it's installed properly.
but, people have done it and are doing it........it's like playing the lotto. one things for sure, it's alot of fun. good luck.

supercharger=going faster=more speeding tickets
But I think most people would reccomend a rebuild (maybe stepping up to some stronger parts) before supercharging so your engine holds up to the extra power.

most of my customers go with a base level or one step up in pulley size on thier stock motors and go way up in boost by changing pullies when they get thier bad boy motors blowers are really quite versatle that way.

I just wanted to add a little perspective to your question... My original TPI 350 was supercharged at 9psi for about 25K miles of it's later life. She's now got 98K and still going strong without burning oil. The critical envelope seems to be how you manage fuel and spark. This is where spending the extra money becomes insurance. However, the introduction of heated air in the intake and the resulting power produced from the supercharger will eventually place more demand and ultimately more wear and tear on your drive train. PS- The best time with the supercharger was 12.46. This was a stock block and heads.
