Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
Why do any of us do it? Every winter I sink 5k+ into my car and I have not raced nor dyno'd it once. Its a hobby. Without Modifying my car I would be bored out of my mind. Pretty well why I got rid of the Vette. I like the fabrication. Having a little one at home and a wife on midnights leaves me with many boring nights.

Sums up my life pretty well lol.
we got snow already to. Temps have plummeted and I need to put a new tent up to cover the car. Damn roofers put a 12" gash right through the roof! ugh.

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
i went to take my car to the shop the other day didnt notice the rear tire was flat till i walked around to the other side of the car to get in it .
was hoping i could just blow it up but it broke the bead , next warmish day we have ill have to jack the car up and take the tire off and take it over to the shop to reseat the bead
i think the bolt in valve stem is leaking so ill have to check that out while i got it off

getting a pretty good snowstorm right now ourselves , tq arm part is here , so now i gota dig the dana 60 out and start fabbing. as much as i wanted to to use the 70 it needed a gearset and the dana 60 doesnt , so to save money ill use the 60 , the 60 should be plenty strong anyways

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
well this kind of sucks , i need to put the car back into DD status , i love driving it , but we get some pretty damn bad weather this time of year,im im thinking i may make a block off plate for the turbine housing so i can pull the center section of the turbo and put the plate in place so the ex still goes out the downpipes.
either that or just wire the wastegates wide open
stock front wheels are what 15x7? and what back spacing ? i wanna take the front pizza cutters off for now

I drive my 2012 GMC 2500HD when the weather sucks. My cars don't have 4x4...

was actually using the bike up until just over a week ago when i about ate it on some black ice going about 50/55mph, not worth the risk if i crash again and go down on my left shoulder again its pretty much done for at that point
but a sfar as the camaro as a daily driver i love it when the weather is good , the rattles and slow windows dont bother me one bit

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
just need to fix what i have already , getting something new is pointless as in about 1.5 months ill be back to riding the bike everywere again, really hard to beat a bike that gets about 70mpg

I like power everything, navigation, back up camera, bluetooth, and all the creature comforts that come with newer vehicles. The Fbody's and Ybody's are fun for weekend cars for short trips to the beach and so on, but for daily driving in traffic I prefer something more comfortable.

I would have a stroke if i had to drive my car in snow/shitty weather. Got myself a $400 volvo s60 to drive all winter/when the camaro is down.

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
since my driving is only a couple of miles ( 4 miles each way) i dont mind driving the camaro in not so nice weather , its not a far drive and its a dead stright flat road , if i had to actually drive far and up or down any of the mountian roads around here that would be a different story
the downside to having to drive the camaro is it puts all the winter work i had planned on hold

Damn bro, I was only teasing with that question but now I'm starting to think something bad happened. There's no other way to get in touch with you either, I lost your phone number on my old phone. Holla back Dave. Don't make me call the Trump train to come looking for you lol...

Dave (Project89) has been off the board for 3 month now. Anyone know how to reach him? Maybe if we find where in Utah we can send someone around to check in on him. I have a bad feeling about it. He was complaining of health issues a while back.

Dave, update this freaking thread already, you got everyone here thinking you're dead when I think I am the only one on here that knows you're still alive lmao. You're still updating on the other website, but you abandoned this one for some reason...

Leave what be? Guys following this thread are curious where he left off, and some who are his friends on here PM'ed me and were worried that something happened to him. This is to let everyone know that he is fine, nothing to leave be...

Re: Single turbo 352 iroc 1000hp or bust the grand finale
I hear ya, but it was more of a question if he was even alive at this point. Quite a few members reached out to me, for whatever reason he wasn't answering them. Dunno. I do know he lost his sign in years ago, then created that Project89 account. Possible it happened again, but who knows. Anyways though, he's alive as you guys can see, but the thread is dead. If anybody wants to talk to him I suggest reaching out to his new youtube account...
