nitrous set up for my build?

Axle/Gears: 4th gen rear end
nitrous set up for my build?
hey guys i have a 91 z28 just did a carb swap and was thinking of running nitrous but would like to hear what you guys think.
engine is a 91 350ci stock TPI bottom end
carb is a 750 holley dp
intake- edelbrock performer air gap
heads- 195cc profiler with 1.6 rockers
cam- compcam xr282hr
wanted to know if at least a 100 shot for the top end would be safe and not hurt anything?
and what is a good basic kit i can get?

i would do it... put a cheater plate on there and get busy with it. need a fuel pressure gauge, nitrous pressure gauge, and a bottle heater. pull the right amount of timing, and make sure the fuel/nitrous pressures are where they need to be and you'll be fine.
start out with a 50 shot to make sure everything is going to operate correctly. a window switch and wot switch to turn the nitrous on would be a good setup.

I second the use of nitrous it is big fun !!!! set up properly you can't go wrong ..
do some research there are several ready made kits from NOS, NX, Zex and others ..
I pieced my setup together on the cheap

Nx hitman kit as base then add nitrous pressure gauge, blowdown tube, fuel line to fuel solenoid, and ideally some kind of timing retard function but not sure how carb guys do that lol i assume ignition box with built in timing retard like my old mallory 685 box but i am an efi guy lol

Should just be a box if using gm hei type dizzy. All it is is a 12 volt signal from wot switch mounted on carb linkage. It triggers the box function. I had special adapter harness for the tpi dizzy. I believe they must have ways to hook up to non computer dizzy.
Or you can just set timing a few degs lower manually but it will run that way off the bottle and be down a bit of power

not a big fan of ***** on the timing. if you use one, put it in a place where it can't be inadvertently adjusted or hit.
cheapest option would be to back off on the dizzy however much you need. wont run as well off the bottle, though.
main thing is to make sure and pull the timing.

That is how I do it back it off 5 degees w/150 wet shot ...
never had an issue .. turn it up for just motor on the street ..
kiss... method keep it simple stupid
or if you you have a bunch of $$$$$ laying around than have at it ..
