I just BARELY have enough room to fit my battery in while clearing the intercooler piping. I can't use the stock battery hold down. Does anyone have pics of using a smaller battery or innovative mounting without moving to a trunk mount?

 

ProCharger provides a bracket to move the hold down. You can email TechServ@ProCharger.com for an install manual.

 

they use a piece of alum. to bolt the battery in place and remove the fact batt mount

 

Actually, they just relocate the factory mount. You still use your hold down block. It screws down to the ProCharger provided relocation block.

 

I went a lil different route. Got a piece of exterior grade ply 3/4 inch and actually turned the battery sideways. The neg post is buried behind the headlight bucket, (yes this is a firebird) and the pos post is fully accessible. Relocated the neg ground on the engine to a unused screw hole on the water pump housing I think.

 

KS that's right i'm thinking of the strap over the top of the batt work on to many cars now adays lol
