Nitrous Express Proton Kit
Nitrous Express is offering a $50 mail in rebate on its systems right now at www.summitracing.com plus free shipping. I scored an EFI Proton Plus system with 10 lb bottle for $369 shipped after rebate. One could also score a Nitrous Express Mainline EFI kit for $349 through these deals. That's dirt cheap .
I will post pics and a review up when I receive the kit, as I did not find a whole lot about this kit on this forum, or even around the Internet.
I am interested in the Proton solenoid module, I think if done right it could really clean up the installation of a nitrous kit. One black box instead of two solenoids, fewer wires, etc.

I received the kit last night. The quality of all of the parts is excellent, I especially like the bottle with the built in nitrous pressure gauge. I will post pics up tonight, I am currently fabbing a bracket to mount the bottle in the spare tire area.

I am going to turn this into a build thread as well as a general review of the kit. I am 28, I installed my first Nitrous kit when I was about 20. I no longer feel the need to rush through the install to go race on Friday night, so hopefully my quality of work is a bit better lol.
Here is my mounting location and bracket fab. I just used a 1" piece of square steel, as well as a few pieces of 3/16" steel bolted to where the spare tire and jack were mounted.
Here are the brackets painted:

You can see the Nitrous Express bottle valve in this pic, it's pretty sweet looking to be honest. It has a built in gauge port and is constructed well.
Next up I will be running the nitrous line under the car .

You can push a 150 shot from a single nozzle I like how it mixes together in a fog,cause I ran both years ago with a paxton sn-93,the plate hit was very hard but the nozzle hit was nice.

Well I drilled a 3/4" hole in the spare tire well and ran the nitrous line under the car. I am trying to decide where to mount the solenoids now. I think thinking of making a little bracket and mounting them on the passenger side valve cover.

I see your point, my line of thinking was that the plate kits, particularly carb kits mount the solenoids off the intake manifold. I called NX and asked them, they said the vibration wouldn't be an issue, the heat could be an issue. I won't chance it and will mount the Proton box somewhere else.

I mounted the Proton Solenoid box last night, this is the best location I could come up with:
I am picking up a schraeder valve removal tool today and will be hooking up the fuel line. I am also hoping to find a throttle body to MAF silicone adapter locally to get rid of the ugly accordion piece, if not where can I get a good one online?

Thanks man I bought the tool today and remove the schraeder valve. The fuel line included in the kit is about 3" too short, and that would be a very tight fit. I am going to have to find a way to make it a bit longer. I am thinking of adding an inline fuel pressure gauge, or coming up with some sort of 90 out of the fuel rail.

So I am hopefully going to the track on Sunday, I want the kit to be operational for that even if I don't use it, although if I run a decent number NA I plan on running the kit.
I really wanted to keep this kit clean most of all. I see a lot of EFI installs where it just looks like braided lines running all over the place, I think the install is looking clean personally.

So I have one question that is on my mind, the kit says the jetting is based on 50 psi. Stock TPI is 43 psi and I don't want to mess with adjusting my fuel pressure and retuning NA.
So since my fuel pressure is 14% lower than what the jets are rated at, should I be running a 14% larger orifice fuel jet to compensate?
I will most likely call Nitrous Express tomorrow to ask, I am sure I am not the only person to run into this...

I am thinking I may end up running my system this weekend if all goes well, I received this in the mail today:
It is the NX adjustable to 60 psi fuel pressure safety switch. Pretty spendy but I think it is worth it when you consider how much a new motor would be.
Edelbrock made a FPSS for $18 but it appeared to be on back order on Summit's site, plus I would have needed to buy a -4 coupler with a gauge port on it and those aren't cheap.
Nitrous Express said that 43 psi vs 50 psi is ok and to use the jetting recommendations that came with the kit I will definitely be checking my plugs after the first few passes but he sounded very knowledgeable.

Here is another shot:
Since this post, I wound up rebuilding the intake piece out of better components. I also bought a FPSS and have had problems getting the system to engage with the FPSS hooked up. So I bought a fuel pressure gauge and added it to the system, then decided to rewire a few things and thus, here we are .
Plus, my car was running 14.6's at 94.5. When I bought the kit, I thought I would be running 13.9-14.2 and touching 12's with spray, I didn't think I would be barely in the 13's on spray, so I decided to wait until the car picked up more ET NA before I sprayed.
