Twin Turbo 3.4 Progress
Since I haven't posted in a long time I thought I should share where I'm at with my twin turbo 3.4.

Re: Twin Turbo 3.4 Progress
turbos r going to surge like hell,
been there done that compressors are to large for a 3.4
ur only saving grace may be the .63 housings causing them to spool slow when i did mine i used the same turbos but swaped to .48 housings found i had to much compressor and swaped down to twin t3 50 trim compressors and it did much better

Ya I'm counting on slow spool time w/o using n20. Was that with the iron heads?

Re: Twin Turbo 3.4 Progress
to make them work u more then likley going to need .8x housings on the turbine sides, and ur going to have to turn some major rpm to get those turbos to not surge.
a pair of t3 60 trims would be far better suited,
id almost say i pair of gn turbos would be even better but even those would be on the edge of surging at midrange rpms levels
to give u an idea just how big those turbos are theres a guy on the turbo forums with those on a 454+ ci big block and the thing makes 800rwhp
im all for the twins but id deffinatly swap to 8x housings and make it laggy or back down on the compressor wheel size

Re: Twin Turbo 3.4 Progress
Firstfirebird did the headers for the 3500 he was going to put in his bird, then sold them to me because he didn't have the time. Now that's starting to become my story lol. After cleaning them up they look pretty sweet!

Re: Twin Turbo 3.4 Progress
slow spool wont help
and just liek i thought even gn turbos would be to large and those are the smallest t3/t4 turbos there are
heres a map with the turbos u have
u need something in the t3 50-60 trim range or gt25 range
