P1SC and L98
Hi,
I am thinking about getting a Procharger For my stock block L98. I have AFR 58 cc heads with thin 0.28 headgaskets, for a compression boost....I think it is around 10.3 or so with the factory flat tops in there, My question is Procharger says with a 3 core intercooler i will still be safe as long as i run a tame spark table, and enough fuel of course. Can a bigger pully be purchased to lower the boost levels down from 9 PSI to say 5-6 PSI and i can slowly work my way up from there?? I have all the tuning equip needed to adjust the prom any and all replies are welcome, Thx.GTA

No replies?
With your compression, i dont see it living at 9psi...unless you run on corn or heavy meth injection with good intercooling.
I still think 5-6psi max is all you should look for and still keep meth injection kit for added insurance. Thats gonna put down good power at 5-6psi with the motor you currently have.

Re: P1SC and L98
Thanks for the reply folks,
I am still going to do this BUT i am going to spec the charger with a 5-6 PSI max pulley to be safe as you said ORR It will still put down great power and not kill the engine, Does any one have install pics of the ATI procharger ??
Firebird Specific pics would be great but i will take a Camaro as well, Detailed pics such as the plumbing through the fenders, what happens to the washer tank? Brackets, etc...everthing and More specifically any problems that you may have had installing the kit...thanks GTA

Re: P1SC and L98
My buddy had one on his 88 and I think my other friend had one on his 87 but it may have been a vortec unit.
The procharger looks good and fits well. dual intercooler looks nice underneath. I dont have any pics of his setup tho. I think he maintained the washer tank and everything like factory.
