Re: supercharger or turbo tune???

Yeah, just get a FMU and it should be ok. Depends on the setup, the MAF may beable to handle alot of the fueling requirements.

MAF tends to max out at 255 g/s. I have hit this mark on WOT in a 383 in the 4500-5000 rpm range. Car made 400whp at 6250 so it was making around 320-350whp at 4500-5000 between that range. Most simple boosted setups could be over that power with 4-6psi. Depends on the build. FMU will increase the injector pressure to allow for more fuel in boost to make sure you dont go lean. YOu can do this also in the tune with PE mode enrichment.

Stock fuel pump may support 400whp, i'm not sure. A good replacement 255 lph walbro will handle up over 550-600whp if done right so I"d upgrade the fuel pump to be sure.

Copy a STS system that a would built my self with a e-bay kit buy a sacvenging pump for oil return...and i dont want to spend to much on the tune... turbo setup carburated seems very easy?

i have a 1996 lt1 with all the TPI sensors distrubutor pcm...

Re: supercharger or turbo tune???

I dont know the tuning involved with a LT1, but I do believe you can set those up with boost tunes. Run the LT1 ecm.

Syclone swap is what I run, its just the programming from the gmc turbo trucks modified for V8 use. You wont need that with the LT1 ecm.

IF you are running the TPI ecm, then you can do the cyclone programming but I dont think PCMforless can do that. Its soo dificult to mail order any car, let alone a boosted tune.
