Pretty much evey kit is the same. 80% of Nitrous mfgs are just relabel propane solenoids. The key to nitrous success is in the tune. Some use different bottle pressure's so they dont copy other mfg's tunes or jet spreads with a margin of safety built in.

Re: Which N20 kit is best bet??
Depends on how big a shot you want to run, but some solenoids have larger outlets for more nitrous flow. Probably not necessary for under 200 shots.
BOlt on kits are nice. I went with a harris speed works setup on my 383 HSR motor. It was an LT1 kit but i made it work for my setup. Doing it all over agian, i would have just bought the pieces and fabbed the lines myself for the best custom fit.

^^ this. I got the HSW lt1 kit aswell. I have to get 3 custom length lines from them because i mounted my noids on the strut tower, and the main fuel, n2o and fuel lines to the nozzle that come with the kit won't fit to my liking

HSW makes custom lines for decent price so you can customize the kit nicely. I have their -4 lines for my turbo oil feeds. Red fittings with black coated hose Looks nice with the red/black motor/car theme.

Does anone know if the lines that NOS provides can have the AN fittings removed so that one can trim back excess lenght? I have about one 14 inches distance from my FPR port to petrol noid. Fortunately my throttle body is already tapped so I can place both solenoids right there

If the line has a pressed on collar like hydraulic hoses than no. If it's like any other AN fitting than yes but i wouldn't make my own nitrous lines...1000+ psi is alot to make your own with the way earls aeroquip etc just "slip" together. my .02

look in the phone book , any Hose Shop can Cut your line. and install a new end.. plane steel finnish (not Blue) no Biggy.
in this shot you can see the plane Hose end. most good hose shopes will Have the same line, used by the nos makers. you can ask if they have the blue ends made from alum, the plane color ends are Just steel.
Never over tightn them..Just snug up and 1 More snug..
remember to check for Leaks.. Just Look for frost on any part = leak
lever let you bottle sit open car not running.. Nos in your intake and a start up = Boom. check out You Tube for Nos back fires..funny stuff..lol
also the NOS filter in this photo you can get from any AC shop.. for $5.00
it's the same one sold By NOS. ALWAYS USE A FILTER, you dont want a piece of grit getting stuck in your solenoids sticking it open.see Kaboom.
remember: the only open part of the NOS set up will be at the bottle when installed, so the fillter can go any place before the solenoids, same with the Fuel side. it's all the small things you do to a NOS set up that will Keep it running better then the rest. a kit is just the start. Keep things neat and clean, and you will have the most Fun.
Nos. Has neen in Biss the longest. sold to Holly in 2000.
the first Guys that started NOS are still in Ca. AND ARE UNDER A NEW NAME. still making parts for NOS. just talked to one of my guys the other day.. waddy, he's been with NOS for over 18 years.
i use only NOS parts.. everything is always matching and Top notch.
others could be has good, but before 2000 i know NOS brand had the Best stuff, and suport staff, i have always ran the fogger set ups, you can tune it the most,(from 100hp to 600hp Hit) and well just looks cool, Chicks Dig it.
edit to add the 600Hp hits are for the BigBoys.. Not a eng under 500 cubes.

i've had very good luck with a NOS super-powershot kit on my carbed 355 for over 4yrs now. "Cheap" kit compared to some of the others but it works flawlessly.

hey Arctic, got any more info on that filter? You said it's for A/C lines...and it obviously holds the pressure.
Thanks

NOS sniper comes with filter. Fortunate for me I live near a speed shop that is a distributor for Aeroquip and stocks every imaginable fiting for AQ. I am on my second EFI system so been there a few times. I suspect thay can press on the fitting for me.
