Benefit to exhaust tuning with FI?
I've been doing some reading and research on the tq benefits of having the proper collector length. Seems this can be worth some very good tq on N/A engines.
But my question is how does it work when supercharging? I run a 110 lsa cam, so I have quite a bit of overlap. I imagine the boost pressure already does a good job of clearing the exhaust gasses from the cylinder, and if so, how much would I have to benefit from running a tuned header extension at the track?
I'm currently running a dual 3" system with ultraflo mufflers, straight through type. I would like to dyno the car with the system on and off-open header, to see any change in results, and I was considering also building some header extensions to try as well. Would this be worth my time?
It would be a pita to swap the exhaust every time I go to the track.
