well got it in and with only one fan going never got over 180. then I turned on the a/c and got into boost 3 times and once from first all the way to the top of 3rd and never went over 200. Still going to drop the timing to see if it likes it better. Thanks for the help and advice like always.

Good deal! Seems like you got a handle on it now! Been following this post....your old rad must've been pretty bad!!
Had nothing to offer you when it comes to turbos - and you know I'm still trying to figure boost out myself....nice engine BTW.

Re: car running hot now with turbo, help!
I didnt read all the posts but heres what I have in mine and it works. if you skimp on stuff expect problems.
1 Griffin 4 core alum radiator
1 Derale 4000 cfm fans (dual fan setup)
1 Proform Electric water pump
never had any issues on the highway. 195* going 2800rpm down the highway, 175* in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
I will sell you my radiator and electric fan setup though.
EDIT: looks like you got it under control. good to hear.

Re: car running hot now with turbo, help!
sat around in traffic and got to 200 today so got home and the side with the fan running is 180 and the side with the fan not running(a/c fan ) 250 so washing it out. I guess I need to get a good fan and shroud set up to finish it off. Biggest thing is no more climbing when in boost. I was really worried I was lifting the heads. Didnt see how as I have arp 180,000 psi bolts torqued to 85lbs and cometic mls head gaskets but i guess anything is possible. didnt want to use studs as they are so hard to work with in the car. Now I just blew a header gasket today so have to pull the whole pass hot side to change the dang gasket. Putting in the dead soft aluminium ones. hope they work better than the mr gasket premium black ones. anyone use them? I had the others doubled and copper rtv in between and still burnt it out.

Re: car running hot now with turbo, help!
you're not lifting a head.
I had a 505 BBC in my 3rd gen before the TT setup. It would run hot also, I had the same radiator but not high flow fans. I had 2500 cfm fans.
With the new engine I changed to different fans, you see my above results.
My cooling system is for sale, make an offer if you're interested.
