Need idea's for new Intercooler scoop for D1SC
Just wondering if anyone came up with something better then the stock scoop they give you with your D1SC kit? I was thinking of making something maybe two times as big and maybe adding a divider to direct some air to the middle of the intercooler so it's not only must blowing air through the back of it. Right now during a 1/4 mile run my engine will increase in temp pretty fast, I'am kind of thinking this system right now is just not enough to keep things cool. I'll link some pic's of what I have now maybe you guys can help me out with some idea's, thanks.
In this pic you can see how it's pretty tucked away

I could be wrong, but I think your heating issue is because the only air getting to your radiator is the hot air coming off the intercooler. The procharger intercoolers don't have that issue as much on Camaros because they have grills in the front, where the 'birds don't.
Maybe consider switching to an air-to-water intercooler?

When I was still procharged I ripped the A/C out of the car (including the condenser) and that helped quite a bit, since it sits in front of the radiator. I also installed larger dual fans on the radiator itself. Fact is, the design is just plain poor, but we don't have alot of options due to the nose of our cars. You could always buy meth injection and dump the intercooler alltogether.
