Fast response IAT sensor

I'm looking for a quick responding IAT sensor and gauge to screw into my manifold. Anyone know where I could find one? The ones I've found are slow.

Re: Fast response IAT sensor

1990 V6 IAT.........fast responding. Use for boost applications. It is more fragile than the stock TPI IAT sensor.

Re: Fast response IAT sensor

Interesting, is it a screw in type?

What gauge can I use with it?

Re: Fast response IAT sensor

Its identical to the TPI IAT sensor, except the sensing element is in an open plastic cage instead of encased in brass. I believe its a 3/8" NPT? Dunno what you could use for a gauge.

Re: Fast response IAT sensor

The threads are 3/8" NPT...same as stock TPI IAT.
The electrical plug is different than the stock TPI IAT.
Use any gauge that will work with the stock TPI IAT, or just a voltmeter and lookup table.

Re: Fast response IAT sensor

I like that idea. Once I figure out what my temps are, I'll add the alky injection, and then once I'm comfortable, I don't need the sensor or gauge anymore, so using a voltmeter would be a good cheap way.

About that lookup table......
