Re: just came in the mail.
If they crack, big deal, buy another set or get them welded. They are only $200 bucks, I bet they last at least 2 to 3 years.
I have a set that I am going to use; I’m going to modify them so the turbo will be in the space in front of the fenderwell. (With the compressor towards the outside).
I see no way they will work in the third gen the way they are. When I test fitted mine, the turbos (sc61's) were having clearance issues with the radiator. You will also have to get rid of the a/c and go with a v-belt setup. I also have a tubular k member to make routing the exhaust easier.

Re: just came in the mail.
yeah they tight lol. Do you have to run those headers backwards? Kinda looks like it would run into the firewall maybe.

Re: just came in the mail.
SSAC did say they are lifetime warranty(at least they did before...), just send them back if they break...
Im sure the whole SSAC = Crap thing has been taken a little out of proportion too...
Good luck with them though, im looking at the auction they have on ebay right now. Headers, turbos, intercooler and some goodies for $1000ca. I would be happy if i got 1 summer out of it

Re: just came in the mail.
putting turbos on headers is alot of weight for those suckers to hold up. Maybe you can fab up two brackets to help support the weight of the turbos that way you dont have to re-weld anything. post pics of the install and please clean up your engine compartment if you havent.

Big whoop, a half dozzen guys had failures then everyone else jumped on the bandwagon and started all this hype. I think its about time everyone dropped all this chit about SSAC and give them a chance, this has been taken way too far
They have over 43000 sales on ebay with over 98% positive feedback, the goods cant be too terrible
Like i said above, i fthe thing does fail send it back and get your free replacement...

Re: just came in the mail.
We had one of our own TGO forum members (Edgardo Bermudez) who spent quite a bit of effort and expense designing those very headers for a very small market, making tooling & jigs, only to have SSAC rip off the design, and make it in China. Someone mentioned that they thought Edgardo's headers were too expensive. What is a reasonable cost for his materials, time, and intellectual property (R&D expense, Jigs)? When everyone cries about not having much aftermarket support for third-gens, this is one reason why.

Amen. Nobody wants to pay what **** is worth these days.
Crist look at what the knock off BBDS headers go for.

Of cores they are gonna get a enormous ## of good feed back. They sell stuff for less then what GOOD STAINLESS cost to build that complete setup.
Then as you said when **** hits the fan and cracks, good luck getting it replaced.
