cam upgrade
i am currently running the zz 383. here are the specs 9.7to1 compression hypercautic and 222/230 duration and 509/528 lift with fast burn heads and 1.5 roller rockers and superram intake. the transmission has a 2600 stall converter and a 2.73 rearend. I would like to waken up the motor a little bit and rougher idle. looking for hydraulic roller cam, not worried about smog.
first cam i was looking at.
"XFI" 292 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
GM 305-350ci 1987-98
Lift: .584"/.579" w/1.6 Rockers
Duration: 292°/300°
RPM Range: 2200-6200
any suggestions for cams? hopefully more of a gain than 30hp.

That cam, the Super Ram, and your rear end gears are one of the biggest mis matches I've ever seen. Turn the idle down if you want it to idle worse, and get some real gears in that thing, it'll make you happy.

Yeah you lose a ton of horsepower when you turn your idle down tool.
