that 1.05 ar turbine might spool up @ 6,500 rpm + on 3.4.most of the 3.4 guys i know use a .63 or a .84 housing and even the .84 guys complian of to much lag

If that is a T3 or T4 1.05 A/R turbine then I would think that Dave is correct.

Im just confused cause the damn 3.0L Supras can use those turbos so how could a larger 3.4 lag too much?? Ill take your advice tho and go for a .63... How much hp can those support?

The Supra engine technology is different. Yes, they have lag with one of the those turbos. How much lag are you willing to stand in order for more top end HP?

Rule of thumb, smaller turbine gives faster spool. Larger turbine gives more top end power. There is a lot more to it than that, but it gives you a general idea of what turbines do.

EDIT: A stock Ford 2.3 liter came with a T3 .63 A/R turbine and so did the 300ZX 3.0 liter single turbo cars. Just to give you an idea of what the factories used for turbines.

It is tough to say how much HP it will support. I have never seen a Garrett turbine map for a T3 turbo. I use the garrett GT turbine maps posted at their site and match up flange, wheel, and A/R. I figure out the spool time and HP using those maps to get a ROUGH idea of what the turbine will do.

Are compressor sides interchangeable at all? Like if I had one T04 that was like turbine .70 and compressor .40 and another that was .63 turbine and .50 compressor?? Could I swap the compressor sides??

as long as the shafts are the same size u could swap the compressors, though if both turbines are t3 stage 3 wheels u could just swap the ex housings as well.

dending on how well the heads flow and the intake is id prolly go for a t61, 60-1, or a t-70 for that sized engine, but u need to check the maps for efficiancy for whatever boost level u plan on running

Gonna be fully ported iron heads and a completely custom intake setup. The heads would be the only thing Im worried about as far a restrictions.
