Wouldn't it not matter how it's clocked if the rest of the kit matched up with it? What kind of interference problems would I have?

I think the vaynes in the head unit are unidirectional . they are pitched to run one way .... unless they are different from a turbo

I still don't think I am understanding, If I bought a whole lt1 camaro kit, but tried to put it on my gen 1 sbc in my thirdgen, What issues would I run into? Both cars have similiar designs.

the brackets would not bolt up.
the tubing wont fit.
the odds and ends for the PCV and stuff will probly need to be redone.
depending on the kit and how you want to mount it, the pulleys spin the wrong way.. some have the procharger facing forward, others have it facing backward. depending on the mounting direction, the compressor wheel is cut diffrently..
basicly, you'll be paying 3,000 something for a 1900 headunit that may spin the wrong direction.
----------
btw, both cars do NOT have similar designs.
the 4thgen uses the LT1 style accessory bracket mounting (diffrent thenSBC)... or the LS1 mounting (VERY diffent then SBC)
the 4thgen engine compartment has spaces where the 3rdgen one does not.. and visa versa.... most 4thgens have their 'charger where the steeringbox/framerail is on a 3rdgen.
now, if you swap a LS1 in.. and remove the AC stuff, then a procharger kit for a C5/C6 will almost fit.. you need to space it out to match the fbody belt offset, and you need to redo the tubing.. but the bracket fits once its shimmed out or respaced.
----------
oh, and btw, all this is without getting into PCM/ECM tuning.

Well obviously all I need to do is find an ls1 to adapt the procharger too. Thanks MrDude_1
