I love a nice, clean install. The air/water intercooler looks right at home in that corner.
Looks great

Very slick setup!
Got a size or picture of that intercooler?
I just finished the book "maximum boost", so now i'm eager to see what others have done in their 3rd gens, now that I know the terminology and whatnot.
That intercooler, you run air through it that goes into the motor, that loses it's heat to the water, the water then goes to....... another sort of radiator, to lose it's heat. Not the same rad the engine uses though right? A seperate one? Where is that? (Am I on the right track here?)
does your STB still fit? Those are short air cleaners, are they taking in warm air underhood? I guess the intercooler helps that...
and yea, what hood?
Where's the alt and power steering? Lower mount style?
What header style, or do you have a picture of them?
Very very good looking though, sorry for all the questions.

Nice... So how's it run?
Is that the stock 305, or what's done? How much boost are you running? You can't post pics without all the info, it just isn't right. heh
I guess you mean they're 57 trim turbos?
The air filters could be in a better location, but I don't think they'll hurt too bad.

Car: 87 WS6 Firebird
Engine: 305
details....
The turbos I purchased rebuilt, one had Garrett the other has "Allied" casted into the cover, so I simply remove both logos and painted them. Flipped over stainless block hugger headers, TurboSmart 38mm wastegates, exhaust routed back into 3" Hooker header system, kept the EGR valve and Cat Convertor to keep enviromentalists happy. GMC Syclone/Typhoon computer for fueling/ignition. Even have motorcycle parts involved, I have a Ninja 250 radiator mounted in front to keep the intercooler happy, continuous flow 12V RV pump takes care of water circulation, the windshield washer tank serves as the water supply for the intercooler....Turbos are Garrett T04E -57 trim, .63 A/r with stage3 wheel and 360 degree thrust bearings.Intake Elbow is a Jegs replacement unit I bought off a local LT1 guy. Intercooler I snagged from the owner of Aerocharger Turbos before they went out of business...Engine has Accell intake base and ported, stock ported runners...would like to put some better runners on it...Car made 261rwhp and 358ft/lb torque N.A. Hope to make 550-580rwhp...

ah, good!
-What are the plans for the hood? Making bulges over the cutout holes? That'll look funny on a power bulge hood...?
-ah, ok, thanks for the info on the intercooler plumbing, I was curious how that worked. Motorcyle rad, 12V pump. Interesting stuff.
-Any #'s on final cost? Sounds like you got some deals along the way, but i'm just curious.
-What did you do to the 305 to get 263RWHP and 360RWTQ??? Cam and heads?
-Not going to be able to use your windshield washer sprayers anymore eh?
-Single 3" exhaust after the turbos? hmm, you sure about that? Seems small for that power output.
Thanks!

I am currently planning just to leave them sticking out with the filter on them, maybe some under shielding to keep heat away from Aircleaners

I figure around $2200-2300... lotta wheeling and dealing

Ported heads, Compucam 2040, full Hooker system, all free mods, roller rockers made 251hp, and 352lb torque, added Accell base and ported runners picked up 10hp and 8lbs torque.

actually still keeping the washer, just using the tank and solvent, have to keep it filled..

Might be small, but we'll find out..probably will put some electronic dump valves on it in the furture for big boost settings
