4.3 vortec tt help
well ive goten my turbos, wastegates, bovs, intercooler picked out.
ive got a set of h-beam rods, and forged dished pistions (8.5-1)on the way.
but now that ive looked into the 4.3 motors a lil more, these things are producing some serious numbers on relativley low boost.Hell the place im ordering my heads from has an 1,200 hp 4.3 votec, and there making that @ 20 psi . Lol my 3.1 made 412 at the same boost levels pretty much.So now im stuck on what to do with the crank, they sell a crank kit but it runs almost 3k,any of u guys know anyplace that sells forged 4.3 cranks.
anyone also know what a stock 4.3 block is good for in terms of power levels?.i already knwo im gonna end up doing a half fill on the block
cause right now its looking like my goal of 600 rwhp is gonna be blown away.and after talking with these guys about my heads, there saying i should make more around 725+.
and the last ? is will a sbc gear drive,or belt drive work on the 4.3

Those HP figures are possible. Did you ask them what they rev. the 1200HP up to? Ira at turbomustangs makes about 1000HP on a race setup 358ci 8 cyl with good heads (AFR?) and a 85mm or 83mm turbo revving to 7500 RPM at 20+ PSI. His turbo is good for 1200+ HP. What are you planning on revving that 4.3 up to? I am not knocking the setup just trying to be realistic.

That sounds much better, 8K and 24PSI will get to 1200HP. You will also be right up there in HP. Sorry I can't help with the crank.......but this is getting bumped to the top for more people to view. Yeah, 3K for a crank is tough to swallow. Almost worth doing a cheap V8 at those prices.
