RMT turbo exhaust size, leave stock or go bigger?

Okay, guys I am wanting to start this project in the next 3 weeks. I have most of the parts I'll need in a list, but I have a few more questions.

1st is the catback. Do I leave it stock and get a smaller turbo, or do I go 3"? What about using a 2-1/4" to 3" reducer? I understand heat is what drives the turbo so would this work? If not, I wouldn't mind picking up a nice Flowmaster catback and have the turbo mounted before the muffler.

^^^^With that asked and answered, what turbo should I look for? T3, T3/T4 hybrid, T-61, what?

The BOV, does the blow off resemble a NOS purge at all? I was thinking if it was, that it would be cool if it were to blow off out of the hood nostrils in the front. Sorry, it's a bit ricerish but I had to ask.

I'll think of more questions.

Thx guys!!

ive seen some nice numbers from a T3/T4 but on different cars its all in what power numbers youre looking for. with the larger exhaust system itll prob make more power. also a BOV only makes like a pshhhhhh noise and nothing comes out so no it wont purge. good luck ive always thought RMT were a neat idea.

Smaller diameter means more velocity, it also means less surface area to give up heat which means more velocity and energy available to the turbo.

Sizing, well depends on what the rest of the combination is like, what you ultimately want out of it… Of course, I’m a strong believer that if you’re going to waste your time you might as well not compromise the setup with a rear mount…
