Remove power valve protector in carb blow through application?
Is the removal of the power valve protector necessary for a blow through application?
I first noticed this on the following website: Blowthrough Carb How-To

If you want the extra fuel to come from the power valve then it needs to be removed. If you want the extra fuel to come from the main jet then it does not need to be removed.
It depends on how you set up the carb. Another way to spray the boost fuel is to use a fuel injector that sprays via a Hobbs switch when under boost.
