procharger on 305 TPI
Ok here is the story. I have a 90 Iroc with 305 and 5 speed. The car only has 70k and its time for a little more power.(lol) I was going to pull the engine and go with a 350 but then I read about a couple camaros running built 305's with a D1sc and getting some crazy times. Now the question is can I run the D1sc before an engine rebuild(in a year or so) or should I go with the P1sc? If I can run the D1sc what will need changed along with its install?

Burn,
If you plan on ever wanting to raise the boost beyond 12#, i would consider the D1sc it has a better step up ratio in the blower and also flows more cfm's.
I just bolted on a D1sc last winter on my STOCK 350 with 60k miles, and so far no problems yet, the kit comes with everything needed for the install, but i would recommend a tune up and make sure your fuel system is in good working order.
then you can look to pick up alittle more than a second and around 10mph in the quarter.
have fun

Thanks for the post. The car is tuned great now. The fule pump and injectors are new. (less then 300miles)I am also running a borla cat back and have a new center force clutch sitting here. I will also order some SLP headers and intake runners and base. I hope this makes the car haul @ss because the last time I had it out she held her own against a new GT but keeping up just isn't good enough. By the way it is a G92 car so it has the gears and other little goodies. I guess my goal with this car is low 13's to mid 12's. I know the work involved and just wanted to know if I was going in the right direction.

Know how you feel.

Well with a D1SC, I would set my goal slighter higher (or would that be "lower"?). Just look at my results. And I'm not done yet. I'm in the process of "changing some things around".

Maniacc,
One step at a time my man. I want to get what I listed done for next spring but before I go crazy (lol) I would like to update my suspention. I have looked at parts and this comes to a slight cunk of change but I have the car droped 2 inches and also new shocks on it already.
Willie,
If you dont mind sending me an e-mail or whatever I would like to know what all you did to your car to get it to run like it is and also to be a daily drive. (We have the same dream)

Maniacc,
Sounds like a good plan. What hood are you thinking about? I plan on keeping mine stock. This is for that "Oh look another Iroc" while I kick the crap out of those ricers. Well exept for some 18 inch rims!
Willie,
Sorry but I was not asking for a parts list just a "What to look out for list". With my current plan the heads should be the biggest hold back.

Burn,
I will be going with a Glasstek cowl hool, the same that Willie has, and will be making the filter box to seal to the hood to draw in fresh air, because right now the air filter is just above the header sucking in all that hot air...
I did want to keep my stock hood but after Willie showed me a pic of his new hood, I decided to get one. As of right now my car looks completely stock besides the stainless borla exhaust tips stickin out the back. But the whine of the blower gives it away, I have been known to tell a few Rustang owners that it was just a belt squeal.

RMK,
I guess I asked for that. I have been to Willie's page countless times and found alot of info but it doesn't say to much about his newest setup with the procharger and I just asked for some ponters. Now I see why people don't ask questions any more. Hell I am even talking about a 305 where are all the people yelling "Pull that 305 out and replace it" lol
