Thinking of nitrous on new engine
My engine is not even in my car yet and I'm thinking of adding nitrous. I know I need a new tranny first, but I have some questions about N2O and my motor.
I have a fresh 355 w/ TRW forged pistons, stock rods and crank, AFR 190 heads, SuperRam intake, and LPE 219 cam, about 10.2:1 compression, and probably a max rpm of 6000. I'm hoping for 400-425 HP N/A at the crank. How much N2O can this engine take? A 150 HP shot, 200???
I also want to keep the nitrous hidden (THIS IS KEY), so what type of system would you run for max performance: fogger, 2-stage, wet, dry, etc. (no plate system since it's not hidden). What brand would you choose, and where would you put the jets?

The only way you will have a true hidden system would be to plumb the underside of the intake manifold. The solenoids would be mounted at the back of the engine, and you could run either a wet or dry kit with it. With your engine not in the car yet, this would be really easy to do.

i have the engine out of my IROC. it's a 305 stock bottom end getting heads, cam, and headers. i plan to add nitrous sometime in the near future. should set this up now to hide the nitrous? what needs to be done? can someone explain in detail because I have NO experience with nitrous what so ever.
