Superfueler

Okay, I just sent my FMU back to Vortech to rebuild it. I had unfortunately opend it totally up, and they said that it has to be rebuilt. Anyway. I have heard a lot about this Superfueler. I have a afew question, being that I am probably gonna get one.
a- who makes it?
b- how much?
c- can it be used w/ my Prom as it is?
d- is is a fully stand alone unit?
e- what type of hookup is it (does it go to the fuel rail, vac lines or MAP sensor, and what does it wire into)?
f- How do you set it up/program it. I don't have any diagnostic tools.
g- any other pertinant info please.
h- how think is the TB plate?
thanks a lot!

Yes that was a ton of help. Thanks a lot. I think I'll have to get a miniram, and get rid of the Superam, because of clearance problems w/ the discharge tube. But the miniram doesn't have EGR. What exactly changes w/out the EGR, both mechanically and computerwise? How necessary is it to pass emissions. I am set on keepin this car 100% emissions legal. thanks for the help/

Maniacc summed it up very well. You might want to go to

http://www.carrollsupercharging.com

and get a free copy of their Superfueler catalog. It's very informative.

I might also add that I had a slight clearance problem with the right side injector wiring harness and my stock Z28 hood!! It comes in contact with the right side louver indention. I don't think you'll have this problem with a Firebird hood, since it's relatively flat.

No more or less than through a wet nitrous plate system.

Maybe no more or less, but that is a great point. especially w/ a superam, couldn't that be potentially dangerous to some of the cylinders? I would think so, but please correct me if I am wrong.

I just wanted to make sure that nobody thought I was implying I know there are distribution problems with the TPI intake and superfueler because I dont... I'm just asking.

Dan,

The Superfueler sprays fuel into the plenum through a bar (spray tube) with ten 0.030 nozzles. I cannot give you specs on the nozzles on a TPI nitrous plate, but having had one in the past, I can tell you it sprays the fuel through a spray tube, exactly like the Superfueler.

Justin,

I do not know about fuel distribution with the Superfueler and Superam. My suggestion would be to call Carroll. FYI, I'm running my times with a ported stock plenum. If you find out that there could/is a problem, I'd sell the Superam.

Willie,
That's my thought exactly. The only problem is that I would never go back tho the stock TPI plenum design, ported or not, and the miniram seems like a GREAT choice, w/ its ease of installation and small size, EXCEPT it doesn't have EGR provisions. I wanted to keep the EGR. Besides the obvious, what else does the EGR valve do exactly. How necessarry is it, and what would it change if I ran w/out one? I am deadset on keeping it NYS emisions legal.
